When we entered we immediately smelled cat piss and the bed was very uncomfortable, the linens were stained and the sheet was like single ply toilet paper, you could see the mattress underneath. The mattress itself was like those at a college dorm, no cushioning. During the night the room reeked of cigarette smoke and it lingered. The staff was not super helpful, we asked to use the stairwell since the elevator was taking so long but they just said to wait. The Newark area was not comfortable to walk around at night

The rooms were very clean, the staff was welcoming and eager to assist with the checkin process. The AC in my room didnt work and they moved me immediately. My experience was a peaceful one
