Hotel is ok

Staff were friendly, parking was easy and the hotel was ok. Felt safe during our stay. Hotel is unfortunately quite dated, and the bed was uncomfortable. It was ok for what we paid but definitely had better experiences elsewhere.

An enjoyable stay

We stayed here for a weekend away .Good location with ample secure parking . Friendly staff.Easy registration process. Very high standards of cleanliness in all shared areas and the bedroom. Everything was spotless .Good quality linens too .Perfect for a short stay as it was close to Durham, Beamish etc .Only minor point was the lack of a lift to the upper floors but there were accessible rooms on the ground floor We did not have the cooked breakfast or hot meals but the menu looked good for the price Dining area looked clean .

I would not recommend this property as things are broken and falling to bits. The window was broken and the sockets were hanging off the wall. The bathroom facilities were falling to bits. The hairdryer was dangerous due to external and internal damage.The portion of breakfast wasn't adequate hashbrowns tasted like they were deep fried. The bacon was overcooked.

One night stay

We chose this budget hotel for a one night stay in a very convenient location for us. There is free parking outside the door. The price was very reasonable. When we got there we were made very welcome by the lady at reception. The appearance of the Hotel rooms was quite basic with heavy grey doors on the corridor, but there was everything we needed in the room and the room, the bedding and the bathroom were all spotlessly clean. There was an included breakfast with a buffet and a choice of cooked food. Good inclusive choices for dairy free / vegan etc.
