Pleasantly surprised. I love this isn’t a franchise hotel. I stayed for 2 days. They have food optiions and a bar in the evening. I didn’t use the pool but saw it was near the elevator. I like the location because some hotels you have to awkwardly walk around near the front desk in your swimwear. Breakfast staff was friendly & attentive. Front desk staff upon arrival came across annoyed, less welcoming than other staff. All parking is front of hotel. There’s a convenience store in walking dance, hotel is close to interstate. There’s a car dealership behind hotel. If I ever have to stay in Newport, I’d definitely stay here again.

It's a newer hotel in a town that only has old hotels. That said, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and fresh, the tv was good, and air conditioning was good. Overall, it's a good hotel. We'd stay there again.

This is the only decent hotel in town and hits all the nice to have marks; clean, newer property, comfortable bed, hot breakfast included. However, they were experiencing some sort of A/C problem and it was extremely humid. They know it as they had placed several stand alone dehumidifiers in the hallways on each floor. But these didn't help the rooms at all. When I first got to my room, I went to move some bed pillows and they felt very damp. The agent who checked me in didn't mention anything about the problem, just made me sign some annoyingly unnecessary forms (pet policy letter, even though I had no pet with me, if you use the safe in your room it will cost you $2.17 upon checkout letter). I may have rolled one of the dehumidifiers into my room so I could be comfortable, but I also may not have.

We liked the option of having a sofa-bed behind a separation. It served our company of three well; my father-in-law was very comfortable on the sofa and enjoyed some privacy in the room we had to share.
