Property is walking distance to the ocean and very close to Nye Beach. The room is great and comfortable. A/C is a plus as some hotels in the area do not have it. It is chilly in Newport, but you will still need the A/C during summer.

too expensive for the quality of rooms.

It was very noisy and the information on website when booking this hotel was very confusing. I originally requested Lincoln City, and it gave this option, and it was listed as "Lincoln County" which made confusing and all alone I thought I booked my hotel in Lincoln City. I had to travel more than 1/2 hour back and forward just to be with family in Lincoln City. Not convenient.

Good staff, old hotel

Extremely good staff at the hotel. Very accommodating to requests. They allowed a rescheduling and refunded back full amount. They were also supportive of remote work. They opened up the breakfast room post their cleaning for us to work. Rooms are okay, it smells bad. Bed was horrible, both of us woke up with back pain.

The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was typical and well-staffed. The air conditioner did not cool, but we opened the window since it was cool outside.
