Accommodation In Oregon
Who would’ve thought a state full of tall pines and littered with extinct volcanoes would become a hotbed of travel? From the miles of hiking and climbing trails zigzagging the wilderness to the microbreweries and food trucks in the “Rose City”, the Beaver State sure is delightful. Be sure to look at our sweet deals on hotels in Oregon and become one with nature now.
Things to Do in Oregon
Holidays to Oregon just beckon that you get out into the wilderness. Head to the southern part of the state and check out Crater Lake National Park. There’s about a half-dozen hiking trails you can enjoy, from the novice path like the Cleetwood Cove trail to the challenging Garfield Peak trail. If you’ve got time, hike to the top of Mount Scott. It’s the highest point of the park, and you’ll be able to see the peaks of the Cascade Range volcanoes. Hopefully plumes of smoke won’t be creeping out of them.
When you’re done being a woodsman and want to spend some time in the city, Portland is the place to go. This town is famed for its high concentration of microbreweries and food trucks. Make your way through the city’s Pearl District and sip a Deschutes Black Butte Porter while you stuff your face with Thai chicken and rice from Nong’s Khao Man Gai. You’re welcome.
Getting to & Around Oregon
You’ll most likely land at Portland International Airport (PDX), 19 km from downtown. Many of our great Oregon hotels are located within the city, which means you can reach them by taxi, hotel van, courtesy shuttle and the MAX Red Line light rail service. But if you’d like to explore as much of the state as possible—and believe us, you do—get a vehicle from Wotif’s fantastic car hire options and hit the road. If you want to see even more of the Pacific Northwest, look at our great deals for Seattle accommodation and make the 2-hour drive north to the city where Starbucks was founded. If you want a latte, this is your stop.
Oregonians are some of the friendliest folks around. If you don’t believe us, browse our offers on Oregon accommodation and see for yourself.
