Spacious rooms, great breakfast, quiet throughout. Location is awesome right next to thames with shopping and restaurants nearby, the parking can't be undervalued either.

The hotel is centrally located but is dated and could really do with a refurbishment! The room was large but the bathroom tiny. The noise at 5am on both nights woke us as the room was close to reception

There was a lot to like and the people were very friendly. The heating / cooling in the room felt dated and not very controlled or consistent. You were either sweating or freezing. For spending the amount of money you are spending, you would expect that to be solved. Further, there should be bellmen to help with getting bags up to rooms especially since there is not an elevator.

Our room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly. There was ample parking, and the inn is very walkable to downtown Newport. Breakfast was a mixture of hot oatmeal and various home baked goods and some breads. There were always cookies in the dining room in the afternoon. The lemon blueberry cookies were delicious! We’re frequent travelers, and we would stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Jailhouse Inn! The staff was very nice and accommodating with thoughtful touches like daily cookies, fresh coffee through the day and nice breakfast options. Our room was large and comfortable. We’d recommend staying here if you’re visiting Newport.
