Staff was excellent! Breakfast was good. Area around the hotel looked like the hood, facility is in poor shape, sewer smell in the room, sink drain was open and back washing crud from the pipes back into the sink, shower floor was slick as glass, toilet too close to the door, a green light from the smoke detector flashed every 9 seconds all night. It was a very bright flash. disrupted sleep for both of us. The drapes in the room were tattered and torn from top to bottom. There are no charging ports in the room. 1 Elevator was out of order the others were very slow. Dust was so thick on the elevator I could have written my name in it. Consider lowering rates. The Embassy is the same experience as any other budget hotel.

The check in staff was great, the lobby is beautiful but that’s where my compliments stop. I picked the hotel based on the lobby photos, but that was a mistake. I am 5’4” and could touch the ceiling. The wallpaper had been cut out and patched, almost everything in the bathroom was rusted. The room is separated from a living room space and both feel small, dark and cramped. In addition the air conditioning didn’t work well. If we were staying for more than one night I would have asked for a refund.

Beautiful property, but our room was not clean. There were chips/junk food in the trash can in the sitting area of our room when we arrived, and there was a wet brown substance on the bathroom sink countertop. There was also a toothpick and a couple of other small odd pieces of trash on the sofa. It just begged the question, "What do we NOT see?" The cleanliness issue is unfortunate because the property is elegant, and the desk staff are very nice.

Comfortable enough, but needs care

We booked this hotel because we needed a room suitable for a wheelchair user, and the hotel does have good accessibility. There is stepless access into the hotel, to the first floor rooms, and to the breakfast area. Our room had good space to move around, and a bathroom with a roll-in shower, a fold-down shower seat, and grab bars in the shower and around the toilet. Beds were comfortable and we had a nice seating area. Breakfast was included and on the better end of free hotel breakfasts. However, our room was really beat up, with torn carpet, broken bathroom tiles, torn wallpaper, a broken lamp, just a lot of wear and tear. The main showerhead didn't work, though the handheld one was just fine. The room has been cleaned, but there was a lot of mildew in the bathroom. We had a microwave, but it had a plate inside that didn't fit the machine, so it didn't turn. The hotel exterior and public areas were nice and well-kept, and this is not a particularly cheap hotel, so we were disappointed about the state of the room.

Needed Lower level hotel says since we used hotels they could not accommodate us. Room was horrible, my Disabled VEteran had a very hard time.
