The hotel was wonderful! Especially the pool and dining areas. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. They have a great shuttle to the beach and it’s a quick drive to town.

Good hotel, bad breakfast

The hotel in good condition with amazing views and great infinity pool. However, breakfast was awful, with cold food (scrambled eggs or bacon).EVERY DAY THE SAME for six days we stayed there. Optional dinner overpriced and with small portions. You must have a car as the hotel is located outside Olbia with very limited public transport.

The hotel is very very very dated Our room smelled so bad with air freshener you would think that they were covering something up Air con broke had to have someone in and reset the panel, fridge barely worked We also accidentally forgot our child’s stuffed animal - after speaking to the hotel they said they would charge us 50 euro to send it home. That is just gauging us - we paid almost 700 for a terrible room in a terrible location and then to gauge us for the return of the stuffed animal is terrible. We have just stayed in 4 other hotels in Rome Florence and Sardinia and this hotel is not worth it even for one night. Don’t stay here.

My daughter and I stayed at Luna Lughente while in Sardinia. I can’t speak highly enough of their staff. Very friendly and super helpful in getting us information we needed and scheduling of reservations for the beach. While the hotel was clean and the view was amazing, the look and feel is extremely dated and is in desperate need of a renovation. It feels and looks sad.

Not a four star hotel.

We are a family of four who stayed at Luna Lughente, advertised as a 4-star hotel, but the experience fell far short. Positives: The pool is large, clean and great for kids. The hotel itself is clean, rooms are decent, and views from the pool and café are lovely (though beds and pillows were uncomfortably hard). Parking is plentiful, it’s quiet at night, and beach towels/umbrellas are provided. A few staff stood out as genuinely friendly and helpful, especially at reception and in the café, and cleaning staff were excellent. Breakfast was decent and dinners varied. Negatives: Service in the café was shockingly poor—staff rarely greeted guests, made us feel unwelcome, and were unhelpful. Coffee options (breakfast) were limited to a poor-quality machine, and food quality at lunch was disappointing (including undercooked chicken in a salad). Staff scolded my wife and kids for sitting at the “wrong” table despite it being quiet, and lunch service was very slow, with other guests also complaining. I was even told off for using the main door instead of the revolving one. Reception staff (beyond one or two exceptions) were unhelpful, offering only a generic restaurant list and refusing to make reservations. Many staff spoke little English, making communication difficult, and Italian-speaking guests were clearly given better treatment. Overall, poor service overshadowed the hotel’s positives, and I cannot recommend staying here.

Lovely pool area with exceptional views. Nice bedrooms with decent sized bed & bathroom, cleaned daily. Good choice of food at breakfast time. Although I would recommend having another tea/coffee machine. There always seemed to be a long queue for that. Also, an option of fried eggs would’ve been nice. We had 1 issue with the manager/ staff - we were a large group of 9 people, 5 rooms in total. We got lunch from outside 1 day & they refused us permission to sit anywhere other than our rooms to eat it. I explained that we were too many people to be squeezed into 1 room but they still didn’t help. I also had my elderly mother with me which they didn’t take into consideration. I asked for any little quiet corner anywhere on the grounds that we could use but they refused. I found them to be very unaccommodating & unhelpful, even after discussing with the manager. Other than that issue, all good.

Family short trip

Beautiful surroundings and views. Food and drinks were delicious, a bit pricey though. Location is great, beautiful beach nearby, not far from town, but you need to have the car, as public transport is limited, and roads are not pedestrian friendly, no grocery shops in walkable safe distance. Pool area is lovely, and quite, beautiful view from the pool area. Rooms and beds are comfortable but a bit dated. Overall lovely stay and we will be back.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. To be honest, we were a bit nervous about our stay after reading the mixed reviews but we actually settled in quite well. I will begin with the positives. The cleanliness was impeccable, I honestly have never seen a hotel room so clean before. The cleaning staff were super friendly too! Room sizes are just perfect, with plenty of storage. The staff working in the restaurant and reception are also lovely and accommodating. We only had breakfast though so can’t say for evening or lunch. We noticed a gentleman working there for the full three days that we stayed and every morning and night, he had a smile on his face and no question was too much for him. Parking is free which is great. Free water is given every day along with fresh towels. I’m not quite sure why some reviews are annoyed or dissatisfied with the location of the hotel. Quite baffling as I’d think it was normal to do research before travelling anywhere to figure out your planned activities, what you want to see etc. Sardinia is a beautiful island and using this hotel as a base is honestly the best thing we did. Anyone reading this review, please hire a car!!! Or OF COURSE you will be disappointed and blame the hotel for your bad planning! There was a few things that did let us down but nothing major. Luckily, the weather was not too hot so the AC wasn’t necessarily needed. Ours was blowing out warm air but

This place was clean and basic. We were disappointed that on arrival, we were told the pool was not open, as the hotel had opened the night before (for the season). We were excited to use the pool (a huge pull to book it) and felt that it should’ve been ready for operation when the hotel opened. The hotel feels outdated, but as stated everything was clean. Breakfast was good.

Beautiful setting, clean well maintained hotel. Generally a pleasant experience. Like other commitments before, most staff helpful and considerate. Two of the receptionist were the opposite. The bus to the beach is not free. You secure a seat by paying for a very over priced sun bed . You do need transport. Bus and trains easy to use but somewhat unreliable. Enjoyable breakfasts. Huge choice. Dinner at the restaurant was very good too. Beware of taxi prices. Especially if it’s organised by the hotel.
