Great Stay at Fairfield Inn prior to flight

Everything at Fairfield was very good. Staff friendly and helpful. TV had a problem with the connection, but a technician came right away and fixed it. Didn’t have breakfast as flight was early AM. Transfer to airport was perfect. Loved the service and 24-hour availability.

Fairfield Inn disappointment

I would’ve given five stars but the communication wasn’t there when I arrived at the airport and I call for a shuttle, was disconnected and told that lines does not work twice. I called reservations, that number worked and he was able to send a shuttle but the said the shuttle will be right there 5 mins away. he forgot to tell me that embassy suites was helping with the shuttle so I was looking for a Fairfield Inn vehicle so I missed a couple rides one or two, 30 minutes later, I finally received a shuttle. I called prior to making a reservation and I asked if they had shuttle for the areas and they said yes, or whomever answer the phone that wasn’t true when I got there. The ice machine was not working on my floor couldn’t get ice from there, I ended up going to the next floor. My TV was not working in my room. I called the front desk. He said he would send a technician no one never came. I never received a phone call half hour past. Then an hour passed and I checked the TV and it was on. Nobody informed me as to what was going on Miscommunication. I chose Fairfield Inn Marriott, because it’s known for great quality.

Had many inconveniences at this hotel such as tv not working, AC blew out twice, had to change rooms because they had scheduled someone to come in to remove the carpet on my entire floor (if they knew that why would they place me on that floor), hotel was under construction and I had to track down housekeeping myself to get extra pillows as no one at the front desk picked up the phone or seemed to care when I asked them about it. I asked for some sort of compensation and was told by staff that they would send out an email to them on my behalf and I have yet to hear back. I tried reaching out to the hotel through Expedia and they are also having an hard time reaching out annd giving us random hours on when the manager would be back and whenever I tried reaching out to staff in regards too an issue they would brush it off. I also got $460 when my total stay was $391 and it’s not an issue if it was a security deposit but the guy that was checking me in didn’t advise me about anything in the hotel or tell me if there was a deposit or not. Hopefully they can issue a full refund for my stay because this was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences staying at a hotel associated with Marriot.

Close to the airport. The shuttle only picks up at two locations, so we needed to go to a different area to get picked up. The hotel was under major renovation. The breakfast was set up in a conference room and average food. We only there for a layover flight, so didn't use any amenities.

Check in was wonderful. Clean and the shuttle driver, Jose, was great. The only con was when I was looking for the ice machine the front desk staff was no where to be found for 10 minutes.
