I loved everything about this hotel, but especially the staff! They were consistently kind and pleasant to us and always had a stocked free beverage area. They also had numerous massage chairs in the lobby for sightseeing weary guests

Our stay at 88 Hotel was a last minute gem we found when we needed it most. The booking we had did not work out and I found myself searching for a new place to stay for the remainder of our Osaka leg. I cannot tell how much we loved this hotel. massage chairs everywhere, in your room, in the lobby, outside the laundry facilities. If I could vgo back in time I would have booked our entire stay in Osaka at 88 Hotel. Great central location. Nice beverage bar. All the staff was incredible but especially Travis. I 100% recommend staying here. You will be happy you did!!

Had a good experience at the hotel. Location is right near Dotonbori yet far enough away that it was quiet and pleasant. The hotel’s offering of drinks was a great addition and we definitely took advantage of them and the seating area to have dinners. The hotel even took us to the bus terminal and assisted in getting tickets to Kansai. Next time we are in Osaka, staying at Hotel 88 again.

Could not have picked a better hotel. 2 adults and 2 children (12 & 15 yrs old). The room was spacious with 2 king beds, separate sitting area with couch and table. The staff was AMAZING and very helpful. They had umbrellas available for use if needed (which we did), they called taxis for us when needed, provided written directions to get to our next city while forwarding our luggage. The lobby has plenty of tables and chairs with complimentary drinks as well as a pool table for fun! Location was great, easy walk from bus station and walkable to many things. Would definitely stay here again.

Service was OUTSTANDING from beginning to end. The hotel even took us (family of 4) to Shin-Ōsaka Train Station for no additional charge. Free beverages (24/7), free massage chairs, and free umbrella rentals are just a few more perks that this hotel offered. If you’re planning to visit the area, this hotel is a no brainer. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

TOP hotel in Osaka, with A+ staff.

What a wonderful hotel! From the great location to the quirky design, to the free soft drinks and coffee in the lobby, to the massage chairs thatI regret that I never managed to enjoy, it was all top notch. But what really set it apart was its wonderfully friendly staff. Due to a minor injury, I decided to take advantage of Japan's famously efficient luggage forwarding service (which really is fantastic) to send my bags to the Kyoto hotel I would be staying the following day, so that I did not have to lug it around with me. The front desk staff at Hotel 88 not only helped me fill out the paperwork but found a big cardboard box, which they expertly cut down in size to perfectly fit my two bags. (It was actually quite impressive how they did this.) Putting my two bags snugly into a single box saved me a lot of money, as the forwarding service charges per bag (or box), not by weight. The 88 Shinsaibashi team then professionally taped up the box and I left it with them as I went exploring. When I arrived at my Kyoto hotel the following day, the box was waiting in my room. What a country! And what a hotel 88 Shinsaibashi is! I would definitely stay there again. In fact, I wish I could stay there again TOMORROW! One of my favorite hotel experiences ever.

I've visited Japan four times and this might be my favorite hotel yet. I stayed in a room in the annex and it was clean, modern, quiet, and spacious. The hotel is located in a very good location between Namba Station and Dotonbori which makes it well placed for local exploration and for getting out to the rest of the city. The staff were extremely helpful and professional. They had a very good grasp on English, which while not required definitely makes things easier. I will definitely stay here again if I'm back in Osaka at any point.
