We stayed here for the fireworks competition at the Museum of Civilization. We were easily able to walk across the road to the park and watch from theee. Parking is HORRIBLE. Use the parking entrances at the front only, if turning in from the side street you will bottom out and scrape the underside of your car, even saw a truck have a hard time with it. Limited parking in front and tiny parking on side street, I'd suggest just paying for parking at the NCC lot across the road. Would not say it's wheelchair, walker, stroller or wagon friendly. Elevators are tiny and slllllowwww. Pool directions are so roundabout as well. You get off on pool floor, go up stairs, down an unfinished hallway, down stairs, and finally arrive when you can just go to the lobby and walk in the side door. Pool was warm and room was 28 degrees, area to change and shower was clean but VERY limited towels. Room was clean and madeup no complaints and beds were comfy. Large bathrooms and entire hotel smelled clean. Would stay again but park else where and rearrange how we traveled with wagon n stroller.

Had issues checking in, arrived early, not anyones fault, but when checking in around 12:30 pm was told room would be done very soon and left my phone number for someone to call. We went out to have a nice lunch and came back over an hour later and asked about the room, was told it wasnt ready yet but should be ready soon, this was around 2pm, Then we had to wait until 5 mins to 4 for our room to be ready while multiple other people were able to check in before us. I have no issues waiting til 4pm but i believe we should have been told early so we dont have to wait for a room that wasnt going to be ready for another 2 hours. Otherwise had a lovely time, the room was good, the pool was nice, just issues in the beginning.

Location is great. Staff was very welcoming, positive, and responsive. Room we got was beautiful and perfect for us with a large sliding door window, nice balcony with a view of the city and a beautiful bathroom. Really enjoyed our stay. Had an issue when we first arrived but staff moved quickly to resolve and everything went really well after that. We didnt get a chance to try the breakfast, but were able to get in the pool. Would be nice to make sure towels are available at the pool area when needed.

There’s almost no traffic next to the hotel, no confusion about where to park. Easy access. Rooms were ok. Only the view was not what we expected. Still a very good place to be. Next to the Alexandra bridge, which takes to everything Ottawa. Gatineau was surprisingly nice to rediscover. Lots of art on the street. Lots of restaurants close to the museum

We stayed in room with balcony the view was amazing over the river. Aaron at the front desk was very helpful friendly and even came to get me when the room was ready. Thank you so much Aaron The breakfast not included was very good value and good choices. Pool area was clean and temp warm. Absolutely no complaints and it was super busy for them .

Terrible experience. Hotel is short staffed and unable to provide bare minimum service on basic requests for bedding to put on pull away bed. Music in the front lobby upon arrival was loud, vulgar and explicit. During the night, beginning at 1230 am, the room beneath us began an extremely loud party with clearly a large number of people. Music blaring. Screaming. Carried on through the ENTIRE night until 630 am. I made multiple calls to the front desk. 5 in total. Each time was told it would be addressed and clearly wasn’t. On the last call, I asked that police be called. This was at 4:45 am. Staff said they would. I’m certain it never happened. The response to dealing with this situation was unacceptable. I was travelling with my two children. Felt unsafe and unsupported. Their response in the morning was that they couldn’t do anything because I had booked through Expedia. Absolutely nothing to help or support the situation. Expedia customer service has been exceptional. I will never stay at a Best Western again based on this situation. They can and should be doing better. Expecting better from their staff, and having clear guidelines for how to deal with these types of situations where one room is dictating the stay of so many paying patrons.
