Lovely place to stay, very close to everything. The room and the pool was clean. There wasn’t sufficient lighting in the rooms, so they were quite dark at night. Check in staff were a bit abrupt, but the other staff (cleaners and handy man) were lovely.

This is a cute, modern motel best suited to families looking for a good value and something for everyone. The decor is recently redone and there are lots of vibrant indoor and outdoor lounging spaces and active areas. Very comfy bed, pretty shower area and finishes, and mid-century-inspired touches. On the so-so side: the "Grab & Go" amenity is just a vending machine, and in my book, this is motel not a hotel. Although just a street over from the main, higher-end shopping area, this area of town is still a work in progress, so a solo woman traveler, I might not choose again. Great staff and a wonderful, secure place to store your luggage before and after checkout.

The Dunes had everything we needed for our five day stay. Staff were super friendly and welcoming and all staff were friendly and professional during our stay. Rooms were basic, but incredibly clean - beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet (even though you are in the middle of downtown Palm Springs). Pool area was fabulous - lots of sun loungers and immaculately clean. We particularly appreciated the many seating areas throughout the hotel.

Beautiful mid-century modern hotel

What a wonderful experience. The hotel has a mid century modern motel-style design, with with a lot of clean lines, flat planes, large glass windows, and a strong connection between the indoor and the outdoor spaces. We love the small touches like the 1950s style Frigidaire refrigerators in each of the rooms, the bright colored paint and wallpaper, and the Kohler plumbing fixtures in the sink and shower. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided us with a lot of good recommendations for food in the area. Free-on-site parking is plentiful and you’re just about a block away from all of the main downtown businesses, restaurants, and bars. I highly recommend this hotel and will be staying here again when we’re back in Palm Springs.

Don't be fooled by the exotic pictures; this is a basic motel like a Motel 6. The pool area is quite nice, but otherwise there are basically no facilities. Even getting a decent cup of coffee when you wake up means getting dressed and driving to a coffee shop. Yes, there's a couple of restaurants nearby, but the proper downtown where you can get breakfast, etc, is a 10 minute walk (which you probably wouldn't want to do in the summer here.) Staff are friendly when they're around, but the motel seems to operate of shoestring staffing.

Beautiful Option in Palm Springs.

I did alot of research before deciding on a place to stay for my business trip to Palm Springs, and The Dunes was a great choice. The check in was by far one of the most convenient options I ever had, and the area was very quiet right in the heart of Downtown Palm Springs. I was in walking distance to many restaurants and the best part was The Grocery Outlet was directly across the street. It is very nicely remodeled. Every staff member was very welcoming and friendly, and the lobby smelled amazing.

Good Value Hotel

Nice hotel in a great location off the main drag in Palm Springs. Lobby and pool area have been recently renovated. Guest rooms are clean, and comfortable, but a bit dated. Staff was excellent.

Don’t stay here !!!

It was terrible !! Doesn’t look like the pictures . Room was very tiny not space for luggage . Bad smell. Sheets and bedding were dirty even after calling for more they showed up with more dirty sheets. Staff was not friendly after asking me about my stay and i told them the conditions of their facility . Will never stay here again !
