Terrible elevators. Out of the 6 for the property, only 3 served my floor. Of those 3 only one was working. One was out of action, and the other stopped at every floor. I was on 33rd floor, so each time was a time consuming experience to get the ground floor. The hotel is redeemed by the pool, buffet breakfast and executive lounge. A mixed experience, I’ll probably still return.

We stayed at the Riu Hotel from March 26th to 31st. The hotel is very well located in the city center. It's clean and very welcoming, with excellent service, very pleasant staff. The breakfast was varied and everything was fresh. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Highly recommended if you're visiting Panama. Thank you to all staff for their service and making our stay unforgettable.

The room smells as someone pee on the carpet and it never got wash, the hallway smells like mold there was no iron for us to use until o complained same go for cleaning the room was gone for 6hours when I got back room was still messy I had to call them to come clean it, floor of the bathroom was crack and chipped, it needs a good renovation and cleanliness.

The toilet overflowed and the handyman had to service it. The refrigerator did not get cold and was leaking fluid. After the third call to ask maintenance to replace to repair the fridge, I gave up. The bathroom also need updating.

Riu Plaza is an excellent choice to stay in Panama City. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We ate at the international restaurant which had excellent pasta. The pool area was beautifully kept and relaxing. Fitness center had a ton of equipment and hand weights. This hotel exceeded my expectations. We were very happy with our stay.
