The food choices were very limited. While they have multiple restaurants, it was impossible to secure reservations. I stayed 4 nights and was only secure 1 so I was limited to either the burger place or buffet for every meal. The meal choices themselves should be more varied and healthier. The layout of the hotel is also not the most convenient. Once you’re at the pool your only option is burgers and bar drinks. The drinks while tasty had very water downed alcohol. The staff worked hard in the heat but the level of service was 3 stars. Overall the overall hotel had a 3 star vibe. The hibachi restaurant was tasty and staff attentive but again my one restaurant experience. I would not recommend the hotel unless you’re on a budget.

We had an awesome butler assigned to us HENRY! We truly appreciated him from the first day until the day before we departed. Greddy over at Tex Mex was an exceptional server. So Cal: All staff we interacted with were really nice and helpful. Alfonso was the BEST bartender/drink mixer we came across during our entire stay. Caesar (mgr) very interactive with patrons in SoCal. Our room was always top notch. Sadly, we never had the opportunity to meet the person that maintained the room. Overall, the all staff was great. Don’t have any complaints about any of them. SHOWS: They were really nice and entertaining for all ages. Just the right amount of time for this activity. CONS: I do not have many BUT there is so much air filtering through the water lines that the shower/sink shuts the water off until it builds up again. That was very annoying and frustrating on a day to day basis. FOOD TEMPERATURE: I have a big issue with eating food that is not up to temperature; especially, when the restaurant just opens for service. All food received that is prepared hot should be hot. Not lukewarm or almost cold. This really needs to be worked on in ALL restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would return to this property.

La habitación estaba espectacular, impecable, amplia, la comida deliciosa y el personal súper atento. Solamente hubo malos olores, cerca de la habitación el día de llegada, pero ya luego ese problema se solucionó. An Unforgettable Stay at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica! Our experience at Planet Hollywood Costa Rica was absolutely amazing from start to finish. From the moment we checked in, we were treated with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. We received a beautiful upgrade that made our stay even more special, and every single member of the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. The managers here are truly top-notch — you can tell they take pride in what they do and that they genuinely care about the guest experience. My wife and I normally aren’t fans of all-inclusive resorts, but this property completely changed our minds. The quality of the food was excellent — fresh, flavorful, and varied with something for everyone. Every restaurant offered a different vibe, and we were impressed by the attention to detail and the level of service everywhere we went. The property itself is stunning, surrounded by beautiful nature and offering spectacular views of the ocean and the mountains. It’s perfectly maintained and easy to get around. We were originally planning to stay at the Andaz or the Four Seasons, but we’re so happy we chose Planet Hollywood. It’s in the same gorgeous area and delivers an experience that rivals those luxury brands, but with a fun, laid-back energy that makes it feel even more special. Overall, this resort exceeded every expectation. Great people, excellent management, and a classy atmosphere. We highly recommend

The cleaning staff for our room was amazing! They was in our room twice a day, once in the morning and turn down service at night. I highly recommend getting Concierge service, ours took care of all of our reservations for dinner, booked all our excursions, took care of our transportation back to the airport. We never had to worry about anything! If we needed anything at all, all we had to do is text him and it was taken care of! Highly recommend staying at this hotel. The only thing that we had an issue with was the shower water was cold, we was there in October, which is during their raining season, so a hot shower would have been nice. I’m sure during the summer, and chilly shower is wonderful, but not in rainy weather. Other than that no complaints. The staff was very helpful and friendly! Hotel is very clean!

Very nice property ! I would definitely come stay again. It had everything I needed plus more. Felt very welcoming.
Yoga was great! Very relaxing and therapeutic.
The breakfast was a variety and I loved most even though I ate very little.
The spa was everything!

I enjoyed my time at Planet Hollywood and would definitely return! There was not a lot of options outside of the resort unless you booked an excursion through the hotel but if you're looking for a quiet, relaxing resort this is the place and family friendly. I enjoyed the staff and the accommodations.

Stay here only if you like having your money stollen. We booked two tours through Nexus at the resort, the “friendly” nexus worker convinced us to cancel our volcano tour and book a more expensive tour to Nicaragua. This was a TERRIBLE mistake. The day trip was 10 hours in a van with the most rude tour guides who didn’t say a word to us. You then got to see a few sights that you were rushed through. None of this was disclosed upon booking. We were then promised by the agent we would be refunded for our volcano tour prior to leaving the resort. It is now over a MONTH later and we still do not have our refund of almost $500. After contacting nexus and the resort numerous times no one can give us a resolution. So thanks planet Hollywood for facilitating theft and terrible service. On the plus side the resort was very pretty and clean, but this issue wrecked our enjoyment of the property.

I had an amazing stay at Planet Hollywood Royalton Resort! I received a free upgrade to an ocean view room for my birthday, which made the trip extra special. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were very friendly and informative, sharing all the details about the resort and its amenities. The room was spotless, modern, and beautifully updated. There was daily entertainment at the pool and fun activities every night, which made the stay lively and enjoyable. The only downside was the alcohol at the pool, which wasn’t as good as the drinks served in the lobby and restaurants — those were excellent! The food was delicious and freshly prepared each day, with plenty of great options. Overall, I highly recommend this resort and would definitely visit again!
