Good option if you want to stay in Paris central, but away from the craziness of other more congested areas. Short walk to Metro lines which go everywhere. Bakery down the street around the corner for breakfast, and cafe / restaurants very near. Tiny elevator for 2 (but hey, that’s the Old World for ya), very helpful desk staff. Tiny room but there is a closet for hanging clothes and windows that open. TV has only French & Spanish channels, BBC feed not working. It’s a bit small room but fine for couple days stay when you’re not going to be in the room much. Did not order breakfast. They have luggage drop too.

Stayed here to catch the train at Garo de Lyon. The walk was a little further than expected especially if traveling with luggage but overall great 1 night stay. Staff were very helpful and welcoming and provided us with detailed instructions along with a map. Room was small with no AC but luckily we stayed in March when it was still cool outside so we were able to prop the window open. Restaurants were also all walking distance with great choices all around. Would recommend to anyone looking for a short stay.

Hotel de Venise is a small property in walking distance from the Gare de Lyon. Some rooms are quite small, but every room I have stayed in (I've been visiting this hotel for a decade) is immaculate, and the bathrooms are large and ultra modern. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Highly recommended.

Love my stay at Hotel De Venise! Despite being a 2-star hotel, my room was really pleasant and the staff were all really friendly! :) Breakfast option was good too. Love how it is also conveniently located near the train station

Overnight near train

This was a fine spot to stay for anyone needing walking access to the Gare de Lyon. The room, bathroom, and elevator were all small but clean, and those at the front desk were welcoming and helpful.

problems...shower not not; shower stall--sliding door off its track making it difficult; staff fixed after the fact. the chinese restaurant next door is excellent as is the location of the facility. good continental breakfast. don't use the stairs, the banister is not secured in several places. does have a lift.

Rooms are small, yes, but everything else is great, clean, hyper friendly owner and staff, if you can get it get one of the street facing room on the top you'll get a cute balcony with a table and chairs, the breakfast buffet is good and inexpensive (9.5 euro).

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. This time I was attending the half marathon in the city and it was in a great location for the race. Once we booked it all our friends did too. The breakfast was great and plentiful, I would struggle to stay anywhere else when I next visit Paris.
