Simply Beautiful
My parents and I spent 4 nights at this idyllic seaside home on our Nova Scotia visit. The exterior, WOW, you would find a hilltop home like this in a fairy tale book. The location is perfect, at the back of the village in an elevated spot overlooking the small harbour with a view of the top of the famous lighthouse. At night the red glow of the light is easily seen from all windows. The home is on green land with many beautiful plants and a multitude of bird species serenade you as you enjoy the deck watching the boats in the harbour.Want to walk to the lighthouse? It's barely five minutes from your backdoor - Hot Tip - go before 8am and you'll have the lighthouse to yourself for the best photographs without a tourist in sight - bar yourself that is!!Inside a respectfully decorated, cosy home, in keeping with the area and its history. Comfortable beds with nice linens, plenty of towels and everything you could want from your home from homes. Tip, bring Keurig Cups for the coffee maker and you're good to go!Minor point, suggestion, keep a couple of windows open as the fresh air makes the inside feel fresh and relaxed. There are a handful of food options within a few minutes walk, as long as seafood is your thing. Another tip, less than an hour away we found a pub in Mahone Bay called the Mug and Anchor which we loved and returned to again!Peggys Cove is stunning in its own right , but also an excellent base to explore the area. We ventured as far as Keji Harbour Rocks!
