The apartment itself was immaculately clean, well-furnished and spacious. The kitchen is much better equipped than most rentals, with many appliances, kitchenware, staples and even knives that are actually sharp!Location-wise, it’s very convenient—just off the M6, but in a small village and under 40 minutes from the main Lake District towns. The host was proactive and responsive in communications.Because it is a historic building, the central heating is a bit limited. We visited in early April with temperatures in the low single figures and found we had to use the provided supplementary heaters. It can be a bit chilly initially, particularly if you're returning/arriving late, so it just requires a little extra management.Overall: A lovely, well-equipped base for a large family. We would definitely stay again!
