The room was beautiful and clean. Each room is individually designed with good amenities.This is a totally unique location, and a wonderful hotel. It's right in the medieval village, so expect to walk your bags from the main road to the hotel, down cobblestone streets. We walked from the train station, which was about 20 minutes, mostly uphill. There are likely easier bus or taxi options that will get you the edge of the medieval town. The effort was totally worth it. Breakfast was at a family-run restaurant on the main square, a one minute walk from the hotel. It felt like 'Old France', with a fireplace lit, copper pans hanging from the wall, and delicious pastries and bread for breakfast. Eggs or cheese were extra. We had a great one night stay here during low season, and would definitely come back.

This cant be really called as hotel, more like airbnb with wibes of hotel. You get a code that opens the doors, there is no reception. Our room on the 2nd floor, ie street level+2, veryvery steep stairs up there. Room very comfy, only a tiny window though, old attick I guess. Clean, all works, even artificial open fire with ”smoke”. Of Perouges, we were there on a wednesday, not a single restaurant was open after 18:00, so no food. Nearest tiwn Meximieux is 1km away so we drove to Carrefour and bought stuff and ate in the room, in a way nice experience meet common French people in the grocery store. In Perpouges there wasnt basicly only handful of people in the afternoon and really no one in the evening. Ghostly feeling walking only we 2 around these ancient streets. There has to be more tourists, this was amazing. Then again, dont know if Perouges is really worth staying overnight…. Parking, no1 is bot further out and no2 nearer but smaller. info promised ee could leave car near church which in just outside the gates, but not quite next to room that either. Plates are read by camera when entering and when leaving you enter licence plate number to machine and pay (and gates open automatically). We left car at no1, bot far away of you have big luggage as we did, would advise to pack a smaller one night bag for this night. Brkfst v simple Anyway, miHotel worked fine and ofcourse there is some charm on these ancient alleys. Ps.handsoap was missing (only soap in the shower)
