We had a really lovely experience at this beautifully appointed and perfectly located hotel. We decided to steal a night away together, and were quickly checked in on a beautiful fall Friday night. Walking distance from the historic city locales, the team was great and the room was beautiful and perfect. Our check-in was easy and seamless, and the room and bathroom were perfect, comfortable and well appointed. We valeted the car, so we didn't have to sweat that, and the front desk held our bags so we could check out Saturday morning but still get to wander and enjoy the city. We walked everywhere, got to see some of the historical sites from the outside due to the unfortunate and unnecessary Republican government shutdown, went to a few great restaurants, beer bars and coffee places - it was perfect and we will absolutely stay again next time we want a night in Philly. The valet was busy when we went to get the car, because it was check-in time and wedding central, but the valets were awesome. Really a great spot - thanks!

From the check-in desk to each & every rug, to the walls and baseboard to the interior/exterior of the elevators to the guest rooms to the couches in the reception area. I've had enjoyable stays here in the past, up until this stay. Basically, practically every component of the property was filthy. The floors, counters, walls, baseboards and particularly the rugs --- not only had they not been professionally cleaned, they weren't even vacuumed. The velvet couch had a variety of hair & lint. The chairs were stained and worn. Tavern experience: martinis were microscopic (and pricey). Chia breakfast bowl featured an unripe pear and overall, was not very good. When I mentioned the gross lack of cleanliness throughout the facility, the manager launched into their renovations that they are launching. I said that clearly did not discount the obvious lack of routine maintenance. On a positive note, some of the employees were pleasant.

Room was fantastic and service but they should more specific about the vehicles that can park at their facility. We had a truck and was told after we settled in we had to park at a garage 4 or so blocks away.
