Unfortunately leaving zero stars is not an option. Host was very responsive when I initially booked, however he was incommunicado the day we arrived at his place to give us the entry code. He never responded to messages through the VRBO app or texts sent to his phone number; and when I called the number it went to a generic voice mail and a full mailbox. Completely ghosted!I booked this property 3 months ago, before the last review from a month ago when he did this to another guest as well.I am extremely disappointed that VRBO was aware that he left other guests stranded, and when he did it to us (on a weekend that both NHL and NBA playoff games were in Philly) VRBO would not offer me a credit to book other accommodations, The only option I was given to rectify this situation was a refund in 7-10 business days and 1 night hotel stay in the same area for no more than 330. We couldn’t find a single hotel room Thursday night in that area for that cost!I am beyond disgusted that this host had done the exact same thing just one month prior to another guest and the host was allowed to keep my booking, and I wasn’t immediately notified and given the option of canceling my reservation to prevent another guest from being stranded without a place to stay and when I contacted VRBO their solutions only involved me spending even more money to book another reservation.
