Very bad experience. We went for one night to attend a concert and chose the Ritz-Carlton because we wanted a comfortable, high-quality stay. It was a family trip, and our previous experiences at other Ritz-Carlton hotels had always been great. Unfortunately, this time it was the complete opposite. We were given a room on the 23rd floor, and when we arrived, there was a small fridge literally lying on the floor, hair in the shower and around the toilet area, and stained sheets. I went down to the front desk and spoke with a very kind lady who apologized and moved us to the 16th floor, also giving us a $100 credit. But when we got to the new room, the bathtub again had hair in several places. I went back downstairs, and all I got were more apologies. After coming back to the room no cleaning was done and bathroom was left the same not properly cleaned When we were leaving, they offered to request our car from the valet, but we had to wait over 25 minutes for it to arrive. The hotel lobby looks nice, but the facilities are old and the cleanliness is terrible. It’s not what you expect when you pay for a Ritz-Carlton. We stayed at the one in Orlando back in July, and from the moment we arrived, the service was amazing, they even welcomed us with champagne or your choice of water. The place was spotless and the service outstanding. Sadly, I don’t recommend this one

Room was not that clean. The HVAC vent in the room and in the closet were dusty, and there was dust on the closet door that prohibited us from using the supplies that were in the closet. There was also a clanking noise that could be heard in the wall throughout our entire stay. This hindered our sleeping greatly. We also noticed a stain on the lower sheet that goes over the boxspring. It was visible when we walked into the room.Our hotel phones in the room did not work properly when we tried to order room service. The customer service was very friendly, and the food in the restaurant downstairs was very good. We had multiple breakfasts and dinners downstairs and they were all wonderful. Overall, we were disappointed with this being a five star hotel, and the cleanliness of our room. We expected more.

I was really disappointed to see that the hotel charges $18 per night for Wi-Fi. In all my years of traveling around the world and staying at many luxury hotels, this is the first time I’ve encountered such a policy. It felt outdated and unnecessary, especially considering that even budget hotels now offer complimentary Wi-Fi as a basic amenity. What surprised me most is that this is the Ritz-Carlton, a brand known for exceptional service and attention to detail. A charge like this creates a negative impression and makes guests feel nickel-and-dimed rather than valued. It genuinely affected my overall experience and left a bad taste after what could have been a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, because of this, I don’t plan to stay at the Ritz again. When guests pay premium rates, small gestures like complimentary Wi-Fi make a big difference in how the experience feels.

Terrible experience. Got in late from traveling and I didn’t expect to walk into a smoke room with smoky wet dirty stinky pillows. The room smelt smoky and moldy. The bathtub was dirty. I would honestly love a refund. I’m also a Marriot member and haven’t experienced this before and when I spend a lot of money I expect a clean room. Especially traveling with two toddlers.

Celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary at the Ritz for 2 nights and it was amazing. Perfect. The check in process was quick and Bettina was so friendly. The lobby is gorgeous with a restaurant (open til 11pm)and bar open til 1am. Our deluxe king room was so nice with a city view. The location is perfect and we could walk to so many restaurants. This hotel is located right next to city hall, across the street from capital grill and McCormick and Shmicks. We were about a block from Del Friscos and maybe 2 blocks to El Vez. These restaurants are all popular dinner spots in Philly. Stay here! The property is so clean and the staff is so friendly. Nick the bartender was amazing and the doormen are so great as well. Hope to be back soon!

Great for a weekend family outing!

Incredibly beautiful but also comfortable hotel, convenient to everything downtown and train station. Excellent bar. Valet parking is pricey but in line with what you’d expect to pay at a Ritz.
