The small room was a cave. It was very dark. The bed was uncomfortable. The pillows were hard as rocks and the bedding was inadequate. It was insulting to be charged $15 a day for valet parking that was never used. I was very disappointed in the facility Extremely unfortunate

It is a really nice resort. But pricey, 15$ a day for parking in other expenses and fees like any other resort or hotel these days is going to add up. But definitely not a bad spot to have a nice weekend in phoenix

Beautiful property with wonderful heated pools. Room was clean. Opinion; restaurant food selection needs improvement and prices down so they get volume in and make up on drinks. Need more staff at pools walking around taking orders for food and drinks as well as operating slide for kids

During my stay, I experienced a needle-stick exposure incident that should have been treated as a serious safety concern. On the morning of the incident, I got out of bed and suddenly felt a sharp, stabbing pain. I immediately checked the bedding, where I discovered a needle embedded into the bedding fabric. The needle had punctured my foot, leaving a visible puncture mark. A sharp object of any kind should never be present in guest bedding and presents an obvious safety risk. The management representative dismissed the issue, stating that “this is not a drug needle or a diabetic needle — it is just a sewing needle.” This conclusion was made without any investigation or confirmation of the needle’s origin, which is not an appropriate risk assessment. I asked whether the hotel could investigate how the needle ended up in the bed. They said the needle “could have been left by a previous guest or could have come from the hotel.” During the same conversation, management explicitly stated that beds considered “unused” are not cleaned or changed. Which shocked me since I believe a full cleaning after checking out is the basic procedure. No clear information was provided regarding investigation, procedural review, or preventive measures. The risk was minimized rather than addressed. Will never choose Mariott.
