The facilities were exceptional, but the amazing staff service throughout the resort truly made our trip unforgettable—especially at the Beach Grill, where we met the extraordinary Kik, who became the shining highlight of our entire experience. Kik’s warmth and passion at the Beach Grill were unparalleled, transforming every meal into a cherished memory for us. Her radiant smile welcomed us each time, and her thoughtfulness was remarkable—she recommended a mouthwatering grilled seafood platter and remembered our favorite cocktail, serving it with a cheerful “How’s your day going?” Kik made us feel like we were dining with a dear friend, her dedication setting a new standard for hospitality that left us in awe. The rest of the Beach Grill team also contributed to the amazing service: Andrey’s enthusiasm, Fern’s quiet efficiency, and Floor’s calm professionalism ensured every dish was perfect and every moment seamless, even during busy evenings, making the food fresh, flavorful, and delightful. Resort was great really enjoyed it and staff very helpful. Only thing is be prepared for so many flies and at check in i was told my room was ready for me, but for me to get it at that time i would have to pay additional charge. We did get to hotel early but if the room is ready and no extra staff nor work was needed to get room ready why pay extra. So in other words the room would sit there empty until it was 3pm and then i can access it. I would understand if a rush clean up or extra staff needed to get it ready but it was ready, so ofcourse i paid but feel it was not called for since it was ready and waiting for me. Other than that was great

I can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience was at the Marriott Merlin Beach Resort. The staff are AMAZING. We absolutely loved being greeted with their warm smiles. They were extremely attentive to our needs during meals, sitting at the pool and at the beach by the Rum Shack. The resort is very nice and always clean. We opted for the all-inclusive package and were glad we did. The menus at the restaurants were pretty good and we always found something to our liking. If you are looking for a family getaway I would recommend this resort, but be aware it is a little off the beaten path. It is a short taxi or bus ride into Patong, but we didn’t feel the need to leave as all of what we needed was at the resort. There is even an elephant sanctuary only a 5 minute walk up the hill. We will definitely be returning.

This is definitely a hotel catered for families, however we had a great time as a couple. Lots to do, was very well kept and close reefs to snorkel. Shout out to Bas, Beer, Aom and Seven at the Rum Shack who made us feel very welcome and prepared some great cocktails!

Property had great breakfast and dining options. The room was pretty expensive for what it was. It was quite difficult to get around as a lot of drivers did not like the location of the property (going up the hill to get to the property) .

This property is exceptional. The facilities, food and staff were all amazing. It is the perfect place for a relaxing break. It is a short drice into Patong but there is a shuttle from hotel or a taxi is only 300 bht. Lots of pools so you dont feel rushed. Happy hour at the three bars run from 4pm until 10pm. Gym is excellent. Rooms spotless.

The hotel is in a lovely location, with easy access to a beautiful beach. The property itself is dated and needs modernising. The restaurants are very close together and everything feels very crowded and not spaced out enough. There are a lot of dead bugs etc on the walkways that aren’t cleaned up. The drinks and breakfast are very good and the service was perfect.

The private beach was beautiful and convenient. The property is a bit tucked away but that didnt bother us too much. Free daily shuttle to/from Patong Beach. Wide food selection. Spa was amazing. Pools were fun and family friendly. Lots of activities for kids I would recommend having enough clean clothes for your entire stay or get laundry done outside the hotel. We got 12 pieces washed and cost us about 1700THB at the hotel. Overall, excellent family vacation thanks to Marriott Phuket and staff!

Amazing 5 star resort!!

This place exceeded all my expectations! So many on site amenities and activities going on daily. Amazing food in all the restaurants and just a beautiful hotel with 3 huge pools situated right on a beautiful white sand beach with turquoise water. I have to shout out a few staff members. Bas at the rum shack was awesome! We loved going there during the evenings with live music and great drinks. His customer service and attention to detail really elevated our stay here to above 5 star! Petch with the room service staff was very kind and personable. After our first day running into him throughout the resort he remembered our names and from then on whenever he was at our service he was so nice and seemed genuinely happy to have us there as guests. Again this was another wow factor that can’t be matched. Lastly we would like to thank Tuk the manager at breakfast. You could tell this is a really well run establishment and the breakfast crew moves like clockwork. All the staff at breakfast was very nice and accommodating to us and you could tell it all starts with her leading such a great group of people. We stayed at multiple other 5 star hotels and resorts in all of Thailand on our trip but this one definitely takes the cake. The amenities and the high level of service provided here are just unmatched. If you are staying in Phuket this is the place you NEED to stay at. If I am ever so fortunate to return to this paradise I will stay here again for sure!
