I booked the hotel for the only reason of having the beach by it’s foots, private beach or not, but the beach is In no condition to swim in it as for one to walk to the edge of the water can’t do it without shoes as it’s full of tiny rocks and coral, and if you are able to get past that then you can’t swim as it’s also rocks all over, the beach get a really big low tide, something should be done during that time about the rocks,

Beautiful private beach!
Phukett Mariott Hotel, Merlin Beach - beautiful hotel situated on its own private beach, close enough to Patong if you wished to visit but far enough way you didn't have to be in there.
The service was great at the hotel, its been partially refurbished (lobby/rooms/restaurants) but the corridors etc, still old. No doubt this too will be done over time.
Pools were fantastic and so many of them. We were upgraded to a beach front room which was lovely. Pool bar did a great happy hour 4-6pm with a delicious mojito!! And the beach front bar 5-7pm.
Would definitely recommend to others visiting. All restaurants onsite were great too. Pricing was similar to Australia, but still cheap by 5star standards!

Great Hotel, perfecting for relaxing!
Pros:- Fantastic pool
- Very friendly staff
- Great range of restaurants
Cons:- Happy hour drink deals aren't very accessible
Location:- 5 minutes out of Patong. Good, quiet location but still close enough to go into town when you feel
I went to Merlin Beach for a short getaway with my boyfriend and was not disappointed. We had relatively good weather, which made laying by the pool amazing. Down time, when it occasionally rained, was easy to fill with the large range of facilities and activities to do. Overall, amazing holiday and will definitely be returning!

Great resort, Friendly staff
Great resort, close to town but requires either own transport or taxi. Great friendly staff.
Resort is a bit of a maze and takes a while to get use to where you're going. Just keep the resort map in your pocket!
For a resort gym I'd give it a 8/10 as it actually has a set of dumbells, benches and good quality cardio equipment.
Rooms where nice, modern with comfy bed.
The pools were Amazing!!
My only negative is the price of the restaurants. I found the price a bit step. I believe they get away with this by being such a distance from town, where you can find the same quality meal at < than 1/4 the price.

Beautiful place with its own beach
Pros:On arrival the whole place smelt beautiful ,was spotlessly clean and spacious
Cons:Only one thing which could of been handy would be a map of the resort as it's so big
Location:Location is a bit out of town away from all the noise not to far from paradise beach and swim with the elephants
Only stayed on our last night wasn't enough time to experience everything the Marriott has to offer absolutely gorgeous place to stay for both family's and couples
