Stayed while taking part in the Etape Caledonia cycle ride. We were made most welcome. The accommodation was spacious and extremely comfortable with great views of the River Tay. Breakfast cooked to order and all the meals we had were of the highest quality. All the staff were most helpful and friendly. We had a most enjoyable stay. Many thanks.

We had a great stay at Inn on the Tay. We had a family room with our daughter and it was excellent. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We had dinner on arrival and breakfast in the morning both were delicious. Will definitely be back.

Amazing setting, right on the river Tay. Even saw the whitewater rafting go past. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was perfect with all the facilities you need. Restaurant food was amazing, probably some of the best food I’ve eaten anywhere. Breakfast was perfect. Was perfect for our dog and staff very attentive with her. Definitely recommend this accommodation 😀👍

What can I say about The Inn On The Tay? From arriving to departing everything was first class. We had room 1 (Garry) and it was massive with the added bonus of a view of the river. The bar area was lovely and cosy and the staff were just lovely, nothing was too much. We had dinner in the restaurant and the menu is pretty good with pretty much everything you might expect from a pub menu. We were doing a cycle event the following morning and had to be up way before breakfast but if we had wanted something to eat, again no problem. We did think about eating in Pitlochry but decided to go back and I’m really glad we did as there were lots of people there who had done the road race so the atmosphere was great! Breakfast was really nice and we got a starter and a main! Absolutely delicious. When we went to pay our food and drink bill I hadn’t realised that we got £50 towards the cost of food so double bonus. Will we go back if in the area again? Absolutely!

Amazing stay at an amazing Inn!!

Wow! An amazing stay!! The staff and owners were superb, always attentive, friendly and very helpful going to great lengths to make sure the stay was above standard.. Our dog, Hector, has never been pampered as much as he was here! The food was absolutely top class (especially the Korean Sticky Wings) .. The room was huge, clean and well stocked. Couldn't really ask for more. we WILL be back!!

Friendly service

Staff were really accommodating, especially when friends came from hotel across road whos breakfast wasn’t to their taste and the inn on the tay sorted them out with a bacon roll, which was extremely kind. So well done for going above and beyond fir non residents.

Once over the threshold, it is both welcoming & engaging. There is a real “ personal “ touch & the owners are so “ hands on”& this care filters down through all their Staff. Alas, the weather was not in our favour, but the sun always shines inside the “ Inn on the Tay”! will definitely revisit & highly recommend. Thanks for a lovely experience! Mark & Kirsten.

This is on 3 miles off the beaten track but it's a world away from any stress. We booked as a stopover travelling from the Hebrides to home. The setting was tranquil and they made us immediately welcome. Dinner was superb and staff went out of their way to be helpful. The room was really comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was relaxed and there was a wide choice of freshly cooked options. If we're ever that way again, we will definitely book another night (ideally more).

Met the owner and he was very difficult to communicate with. He had had a bad day plus staff shortage. Staff were nice people. Property in need of lot of upgrading especially in the bathroom - antiquated. Food was good. Picturesque outside with the river Tay and the rapids by the hotel.

Lovely old inn on the river.

Loved our stay here, this is an old inn adapted to cater for the modern traveler therefore the rooms are a little quirky, i.e. no wardrobe in our room (no.3). The bathroom was small with a good electric shower. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had an early dinner which was excellent before going to the theatre in Pitlochry a 15min drive back down a quiet country road then along the A9. There was some sort of party going on which made it rather noisy but did eventually quieten down around midnight. Breakfast was excellent with a good selection, well cooked, good coffee, good toast. We would stay there again next time we are in the area.
