Pros: I would like to highlight that the food was exceptional—delicious and well-prepared. We were served restaurant-quality meals three times a day, expertly crafted by the chef. Five stars to the chef! The room was spacious, featuring a walk-in closet and a large bathroom. We had the unique opportunity to observe crocodiles in their natural habitat while feeling completely safe. Cons: The main reason I would hesitate to return to this resort is the limited availability of umbrellas at both the beach and pool areas—only five in total. This made it difficult to find adequate shade. The temperature in our room did not go below 25°C, making it uncomfortable for sleeping. Despite reporting the issue three times, and staff attempting to address it, there was no improvement. The lack of air circulation made the room uncomfortably warm. On the night of our arrival (Saturday), we realized we had forgotten a hairbrush. When we visited the shop in the lobby on Sunday, we found it closed for the day. A receptionist kindly asked if we needed assistance, and after explaining our situation, she assured us that a maid would provide a brush, as it was typically included in the room amenities. Unfortunately, we never received it. The following day (Monday), we checked the shop again, but they did not carry any brushes or combs. When we asked the concierge if a staff member could purchase one for us on their way to work, we were informed that employees do not leave the resort premises.

Stayed for 4 nights at the end of January. Pros: Very clean beach (seaweed is being removed constantly), white sand, warm water even in January Food was actually very good, way better than at other all inclusive resorts I’ve been. Only 2 restaurants but for 4 nights it was plenty. Gorgeous grounds with a bunch of wild animals, but not too much, we were not disturbed by them This is not a party resort, most of the people there are retired couples. Cons: The only decently size pool is only 4 ft deep Only one bar, open till 1 am. Good liquor though We were asking for a second blanket for 2 days, calling multiple times a day. We were originally supposed to stay in the room with 2 beds but there was none available when we arrived, despite me specifically booking it. I even wrote a note in Spanish for housekeeping and left $5, asking for a second blanket. Well, they took the money but the blanket never came. Had to call to fix the hot water the first day, though they did come pretty fast Casita smelled like mold but that is something I found to be true for every resort in area. The only alcohol in the room is cheap beer, room service doesn’t have any They charge $20 for room service. The food was absolutely gross. Which is weird because food in the restaurants was quite good Mexican show during Mexican dinner was horrifying and gave me anxiety. They were performing in between tables, very loud drums and tried to interact with the audience. Neither me or my friend liked it

We stayed at this hotel for five days. At first glance, the property looks nice, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer great private areas. However, issues started almost immediately. The rooms are about 0.7 miles from the only place to get food, drinks, and access to the pool. While they do have carts with friendly drivers, they aren’t always available, making for a long walk. There are bikes scattered around, but they’re often hard to find since many guests take them back to their rooms. The food was average, and the drinks were about what you’d expect. Most of the staff was friendly, but we encountered several service issues. We were locked out of our room twice due to faulty key cards. Each time, it took over 45 minutes for someone to assist us, and then we were told to go back to reception to get new keys—turning a simple lockout into an hour-long ordeal. The in-room hairdryer was broken, missing a prong, and despite requesting a replacement, we never received one. Housekeeping did not replenish the in-room coffee or wet bar items unless specifically requested daily. One day, they skipped our room entirely, leaving us without fresh towels or cleaning service. The spa massage was enjoyable, but there was a significant pricing discrepancy. We were quoted $233 for two massages, but the actual charge was closer to $500. Additionally, many public areas of the hotel, including restrooms, were in poor condition—broken, run-down, or lacking water and electricity.

This was the worst resort I’ve ever stayed at in my life. 7 night reservation, our party of four wanted out after one night, they offered ZERO refund for 6 unused nights. Avoid this place unless you’re into being depressed and sad on your vacation. Will be talking to Amex about contesting this, Terrible

Blue Diamond is a safe and quiet place to relax and unwind. A la Carr food is delicious; the staff is friendly and accommodating. The beach is kept very clean and the water is inviting. Nice infinity pool too. No kids no casino no disco. Just what I needed!

We really enjoyed the quiet and the food was amazing. With this property being adult only, only having 2 umbrellas on the beach was ridiculous. Some of the serving staff was very good, others not as much. We were the only couple in the Aquamarina and it took forever for someone to wait on us.

If you are looking for a relaxed time this is the place. It is not a party resort, it's a slow paced small quiet resort. And that was what we needed so glad we found it. The pool being not heated is shame. The bikes are really rough to get around on. But the spa area is great and you can use the majority of it included in our costs. Room was really nice, but some of the property is showing age.

The resort has so much potential. Pros: Food is very good and plated meals were nice. Most meals take over an hour to finish. Two restaurants were open most nights. Aguamarine is open every night and the Ambar was open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. You can swim in the cenote everyday just have to sign up. Snorkeling happens Monday Wednesday and Friday at 230. Be warned there is no dock so you will walk to the boat in the water, bring a towel. There is a civiche class and Spanish class once a week. Beach is beautiful and is well maintained. Very quiet and relaxing. Large beautiful rooms, we had hot water but some guests did complain of cold water. Plunge pool is filled for free just give them 24 hours notice but it is cold water. The jungle theme was unique with a lot of different wildlife to see. It can be a con if looking for a more Caribbean style beach vibe vacation. Cons: A new resort is being built next door so you will hear loud construction equipment and sometimes the smell of diesel for several hours. Not within their control but something to be aware of. The facilities are in desperate need of a makeover everything is very tired. One pool, not heated. Very very quiet. Cigar lounge, M-bar are closed. Many areas not in service and the entrance is very lack lustre. There is a TV in the room but it didn't work and a telephone but that also didn't work. The cleaning staff are different then the staff that will refill the mini bar in the room.

This property is a tranquil oasis. Perfect location where guests don't feel like they are at a large all inclusive resort. Everyone we saw all seems to be happy and satisfied with their choice of hotel. What makes the difference at Blue Diamond is the staff. You get the sense they are genuine when they say hello. They care. A big thank you to the excellent staff and service from Martin, Luis, Francisco, Jenny and many others. For feedback and improvement I would suggest bike repairs as some were a little rundown. With such a unique property I would encourage the front desk desk staff to be a little more trained in communication and customer service given its your first impression when arriving. Very nice resort. Quite rooms, private beach, excellent food and friendly staff. Only complaint would be there wasn't any written information on restaurant times and reservation requirements, and the spa does need reservations.
