We had the Signature Casita King Suite which was perfect for what we needed, but when checking in our room wasn't ready. They told us it would only be 30 minutes, but it took well over 3 hours. We were traveling with a 6 year old and a 4 year old so of course all they wanted to do was go to the beach or pools. We were told we can use the lobby bathrooms to unpack all of our bags and change which of course was not ideal. They said for the delay they would not charge us for any of our meals or drinks that day (we did not do the all inclusive package). They promised it would already be taken off the bill. Of course, during check out there was not a note about this in our file so they tried to charge us for our lunch and dinner. They finally took care of it. Talking about the food now - it was all mediocre at best. Everyone we talked to at the pool or beach was complaining about the food. I think when there's a "5 Star" resort you're just expecting more elevated dishes. The poolside menus were very generic and tasted like cruise ship food (which I've never been on a cruise before but it's what I would imagine cruise food would be like). The grounds are beautiful and everyone is so nice though! I think they really just need to work on their food.
