We loved seeing the wildlife around the resort. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Wasn’t too busy since it was still off season but that was what I liked, it was never crowded. The room was a little dated but comfortable and very spacious. When we called a week before our stay to double check we would get two double beds instead of a king they made sure to put it on our reservation. There were many great choices for pools and we loved the beach area and the adults only pool looking out on the water.

We love the nature, animals & access to Xcaret. Some of the buildings are in need of repair. Housekeeping was great. Dining room staff were ok. Some language barriers. Some sales pitches for their first club & royal club but not too pushy

Enjoyed the natural settings Staff were kind and helpful Buffet was good many offerings Pools were great plenty of loungers Stayed the week of 12/3 so I don't think the hotel was at full capacity This is large resort and requires a lot of walking if that is not your thing maybe not for you We have stayed at a large Mexican resort in the Riviera Maya once a year over the past 20 years this resort was among our favorites

The beach bar & restaurant area should be open in the evening with enterainment down there. There should be a shuttle into Playa del Carmen. Food quality needs to be improved.

When we arrived, we were informed that our reserved king-size bedroom was not available and that we would have to stay in a room with two queen beds instead. We mentioned that we were on our honeymoon, and the staff member checking us in reassured us that by the next day they could arrange a king-size room for us and even help with special reservations to celebrate the occasion. The following day, when we went to reception, we were told that we actually needed to complete a form beforehand to request a room change and that they wouldn’t be able to accommodate us with a king-size room until the next day. I requested to speak with the manager, who simply told us that the hotel was fully booked and no king-size rooms were available. When we mentioned that we had requested a king-size bed in our reservation, he responded that room types are not guaranteed and are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis depending on availability. On the third day, we finally received our new room, but our luggage was missing as they had mentioned not to worry they would move them for us to our room and did not arrive until about 30 minutes later. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, especially during such a special trip. While some staff members tried to be helpful, the lack of clear communication and coordination made our stay far less enjoyable than we had hoped.

When we first arrived there was no one to help us find the Royal Level. First impressions were not great. Once we got to our area they were very friendly. I would suggest staying in the Royal. We ate at the regular buffet one day and it was not good. The Royal provides sit down breakfast, lunch, dinner and even room service which we used often. The concierge is a major plus. Thank you!

Receptionist with bad attitude. No information was given about room location, restaurants activities etc. concierge staff not helpful or friendly. 95% of restaurants servers rude and would treat you accordingly to the bracelet color you wear (upgrade level). I would think twice before returning to this hotel.
