I will never stay at Ocean Riviera Paradise again. My experience was nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I checked in at 3:20 PM on March 28, but my bags didn’t arrive at my room for over an hour. Once I settled in, I quickly discovered that the power in my room kept shutting off every five minutes, forcing me to repeatedly open the door just to restore it. I reported the issue, and while maintenance came by and claimed they were “reprogramming” the room, they suggested I go out and enjoy myself while they worked on it. I returned around 8:30-9:00 PM, hoping to give my 5-year-old daughter a bath, only for the power to keep cutting out again. The flickering lights startled my daughter, causing her to slip and fall in the shower, leaving her frightened and uncomfortable for the remainder of our stay. After calling guest services, it took nearly 30 minutes to be moved to a new room. As a “compensation,” they offered to book me a restaurant reservation—something I could have easily done myself. The new room was hardly an improvement. The door didn’t close properly unless I lifted it slightly, and one of the showers didn’t work. Despite informing the staff, it remained unfixed even by March 30. To make matters worse, I later received an email warning of a possible flight cancellation due to a storm. When I asked if the hotel could accommodate me in case of delays, they simply told me I would need to rebook my stay—offering no assistance or flexibility.

This was a great vacation for our family. We have two teenage boys who had the freedom to go where they wanted, when they wanted and eat and drink when and what they wanted. They were kept entertained and used the games room, basketball court, beach volleyball, pool activities etc. Bowling was always too busy so we didn't get a chance to do that. We enjoyed the food and drinks at all the places we ate. The fish tacos at La Pez are great and the view is wonderful. The room was big enough which many aren't now that our kids are older and it was very clean. There were a few tricky things whilst there. All the pool chairs are taken by 8am. I don't know the solution but it was definitely hard to find a chair. They were painting in our building and maybe even in our room. The fumes were really bad. We kept our sliding door open most of the time but even so it caused headache and all of our clothes on return home smelled like the paint fumes. It could not have been good for us. The last thing is typical for any resort. If you want to go anywhere off the property they charge an exorbitant amount. We worked the system a little and walked out just far enough to use the PLC Radio taxi app which cut down the cost tremendously. We were happy to be there and enjoyed our stay for sure.

Excellent service and the staff was very attentive. The kids enjoyed the activities at the hotel and we even visited the spa. The hotel has a great number of options for food between the buffet and the restaurants. However, I felt that the food lacked flavor. I’ve stayed at numerous resorts including all inclusive and this one just lacked the flavor I expected for the cuisine options offered. I visited most restaurants including the steakhouse, the bbq, seafood, etcetera. The food was just ok.

This is a great resort. The food at the restaurants and buffet are solid. I’m a foodie and was nervous about all inclusive food. Fernando introduced himself day 1 and he was available at any time. He made our dinner reservations for us every night. He went above and beyond. Not annoying or over bearing just knowledgeable and helpful. If he was my employee he would def. deserve a promotion. Fernando thank you!

This is our second stay at this resort. We absolutely live it here. The staff work so hard, are so friendly and happy to have you there. Food was great. Only complaint and no fault to the resort was there was a guest smoking close to their air intake, which made their cigarette smoke come into our bathroom. The resort tried to help and find the issue, and sprayed and cleaned our room extra, but the smoke smell was still in our bathroom causing us grief. They were going to change our room but with only 1 more night there we chose not to pack up.

Modern design. Really loved the esthetic. Service at all of the restaurants was slow. Rooms were clean and modern but the sofa bed needed replacing. Upgraded to privilege but didn’t realize a ton of benefit of having a butler other than reservations being made for us. Some of the patrons were tough to be around and the seaweed on the beach was pretty bad. Really enjoyed the spa - best massage and the plunge pool/sauna after. Beautiful setting to be in.

Been here now twice- both time for more than 10 days- great staff, good food and service from house keeping to pool staff, bartenders, chefs, waiters, bellboys and lobby staff. Huge property that is well kept. Hard to believe any of the negative reviews- but seems that some people only like to find the negatives. Would be better if was closer to things outside the resort but can’t change the location which is otherwise beautiful.

Maira Guevara in hospitality was lovely. She helped us book a reservation at the Italian Restaurant, La Laconda, as well as the Japanese Tappanyaki, Sakura, even though we were not Exclusive or Privelege level guests. She also checked in throughout our stay and coordinated a small bday cake for my son’s 8th birthday. The food was good. My only complaint is that the lines were long everywhere, including the buffet, and the restaurant staff seemed overwhelmed.

The butler service was exceptional. Our butler Ariz was on top of everything, she was a huge help. She definitely went above and beyond to get us reservations and anything we needed. Food was great!!! We loved our swim up suite!!! We weren't impressed with the beach, at all. It was very small and lots of sea weed. Also, not much to do for night life. Only one lobby bar that stayed open late. Wish there were more night time bars and damcing options.

The food is not good at all. Very limited dining. Not all inclusive because you have to pay for some things like the arcade. Some of the all inclusive stuff was mediocre like the ice cream parlor, the buffet, and the restaurants.
