My wife and I loved out stay. I do havebone major complaint that I did not mention while I was there, but it is a big concern. We stayed in room 4154. During our entire stay, we smelled mold and mildew. If you look at the ceiling, you will see black spots of mold. I am am asthmatic and for me, by the last 2 days of our stay, I was having breathing and coughing issues while in the room. I would recommend that you have that room treated is possible and the ceiling cleaned. This will not prevent us from returning next year again, but we will probably ask to be placed in another building.

They have a cenote on the property that has spider monkeys, coatis are all over the place which was entertaining. Lots of choices for dining, many pools to fit your wants. Very good overall.

We were greeted immediately upon arrival and given drinks. We had booked a privilege suite and at check in they upgraded us to a swim out suite for no additional cost. The suite was spacious and the A/C worked amazing. There was a dehumidifier in the room that kept the humidity down as long as we emptied it frequently. Our butler Pool was so sweet and checked on us daily, made our dinner reservations and seeing if we needed anything else. The restaurants were a little hit and miss. We loved Sakura so much we went twice. We also liked the Italian restaurant. Pez Velez was a nice place to have lunch right on the water. The buffet was not bad. There was a lot of choices. The customer service was great. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The resort was big but I didn't feel it was overwhelming. It might be too much for someone with mobility issues though. The highlight of the trip was the monkeys. We saw them every morning and they were right up close. We saw lizards and coati's also. We mostly stayed at the privilege pool. It had a great swim up bar. The beach was not bad and a few of the evening shows were awesome. We had a great time and left with nothing to complain about.

The property did not honor the room option as putchased through Expedia. They placed the blame on Expedia stating that Expedia sold us a room with false advertising of the ocean view. This was not an error upon myself or Expedia. The property sold out of my room type and they did not want to take accountability. It was very insulting to hear the staff talk badly on Expedia. We had to suffer the first day and night in a lower valued room that was not clean, tidy nor sanitary. We spent several hours dealing with this horror. We didn't travel to be talked down to nor being taken advantage of. We really needed this vacation and was looking forward to relaxation, great vibes and the beauty of Playa Del Carmen. The room we were accommodated to was very dirty. The property rooms was very dirty. The mattresses and sheets were dirty. The room had an infestation of ants. The staff was notified by phone and we waited for hours. In addition, we had to walk to the front to also request for immediate service. The staff felt that bugs are normal and wasn't eager to help. The floors were dirty as well as if they never mopped. We had to ask for proper toiletries because they weren't in the room. Upon check-in, the room didn’t even have a phone to contact them. We had to walk 10 minutes to the front desk.

It was a beautiful place to stay for the price. The service was amazing!Our server Merlin was the best! Pools were lovely, beach was as well. A couple issues with cold food, but was corrected quickly.

I stayed at this resort for six days for a birthday trip. I usually stay in Cancun but wanted to try Playa Del Carmen this time. One thing to note—you definitely need a car or have to rely on taxis to get around. Unlike Cancun, the main road is not within walking distance from the resort, and there are no public buses available. That said, the resort itself was beautiful and well-maintained, with plenty of restaurants and activities. There’s a small strip of stores, including a coffee shop, ice cream shop, souvenir shop, jewelry store, and an arcade, which was a nice touch. The resort also offers nightly entertainment and bowling. The food, however, was unsatisfactory. Of all the restaurants I tried, I personally enjoyed the steakhouse and Margarita for their tacos, chips, and spicy salsa. The diner was the main restaurant open throughout the day and the only option for breakfast. Unfortunately, the buffet/diner had extremely limited options, and the food was terrible—no seasoning, hard rice, and undercooked vegetables. I’m not a picky eater, but the food was a definite no for me. In comparison, I’ve stayed at 4.5-star resorts in Cancun where the food selection and quality were much better. My worst dining experience was at Pez Vela, which I really wanted to enjoy since it’s the only beachfront restaurant. I ordered the jerk chicken with green rice, but the rice was hard, and the chicken was not jerk-it was just roasted, heart-shaped, tender but completely unseasoned. pt 2

The room was beautiful, clean and updated. Pools and amenities were great. Staff was lovely and very friendly! This is a large resort and the trolley system works very well. The reservation system required for several of the restaurants (specifically sushi restaurant) was not efficient. If you want to go to the sushi restaurant you literally have to get in a single-file line BEFORE 8am, and stand there for an hour to hopefully make a reservation. I have no intentions of spending my vacation waiting in a food rsvp line. Otherwise you could make reservations for other restaurants via the resort app. Beach and water access (which are super important to me) were great.

The dining staff was always so kind and helpful they were quite amazing I do have a little issue with the lobby bar and the bartenders every Resort I ever seem to go to they're never very helpful if you're not drinking alcohol

The resort was beautiful ! Food and service at all the restaurants we could attend was amazing. Our only disappointment was trying to book the Japanese restaurant they asked that we buy two over priced bottles of wine for 6 people in order to get a booking.
