The property is just beautiful and clean. The rooms are very nice and the service and staff are excellent. The ONLY downside is the beach, however, it is still beautiful and they are working on restoring the beach area. Highly recommend this property. We have been coming to the Royal Haciendas for 18 years and are owners of a beachfront full suite.

The property is gorgeous. The rooms wonderful. Each with nice views and balcony. Pool perfect. Staff was great. Only downside, was not impressed with food. 2 restaurants were good but buffet not so much. The buffet constantly ran out of stuff and food wasn't the greatest. I'd rate the buffet a 3 or below.

The food at the buffet was not great. There were some nights, I only ate salad, since I don't eat burgers, hot dogs, fries. Also, I don't want food like that when I'm on vacation in Mexico. The desserts looked nice, but did not taste good, consistently. Also, I could not get a good drink at the bar. I tried many alternatives, but none tasted the way they should. We had one very nice dinner our last night at one of the restaurants. If we had 2-3 meals like this during our stay, it would have felt like it was worth the money. I booked this vacation on Expedia, but checked the Royal Haciendas own website to see if it was the best deal. They were comparable. We are a family of 4 with two teens. When you indicate the children's ages, there is a drop box to choose the ages, 17 & 14. When we arrived at the resort after traveling all day, they stated that we only paid for one child, one was indicated as 7 years old. Since I checked different websites to compare prices and the child age drop box is on each site, it felt like we were scammed. They charged an additional $610 when we arrived. It wasn't cheap to start with. The villa itself is beautiful and our beach front room was spacious, clean and had gorgeous views.

This place was amazing other than the buffet. We weren't fans of the buffet but we could just be spoiled. All the other food was great and everything else was amazing

Loved how family friendly the property was. Even though adults were drinking all day noone got super sloppy and the activities were appropriate around kids. The service was also excellent. Only complaint was the lack of ability to get a meal reservation. Members were able to book 3 days in advance, everyone else had to wait until morning of and we never were able to actually get one.
