This was my second stay at Viva Maya. My first stay was over 10 years ago. And I would definitely go again. The grounds are what I love the most. Such a tropical feel with lots of lush green everywhere. The beach is beautiful and you can walk way out in the ocean. Plenty of lounge chairs to choose from, both poolside and under the palm trees at the beach. Many good food choices from the main buffet area to the restaurants, and snack bar. Many drink choices as well including a coffee shop which was new from my last visit. In addition to the alcohol drinks they offer a variety of smoothies which are great for kids or those not wanting alcohol. Staff are very friendly. Our room was cute, clean and comfortable with a partial ocean view from the balcony. Good shows at night. I highly recommend this resort.

We loved the convenience to everything; market,5th Ave, tourist area and beach. The property and staff were amazing and entertainment was well-done. It felt very safe for our family. Add basketball court would be great. Pretty good food, we didn't go to the restaurants, the menus didn't seem attractive for our kids interest. Wish they had more kid friendly for restaurants.
