Hunter Gleann Pty Ltd is a 14 acre property, conveniently located on Hermitage Road Pokolbin and boasts great views over olive groves and vineyards in all directions and views of Brokenback Mountain Range to the west from its hill top location. Wake to the serenity that abounds on this beautiful acreage.

Enjoy a stroll around the property surrounded by local wildlife including the resident Kangaroos. Head out on one of the many wine tours, enjoy a food and wine workshop or catch a concert from the many Aussie and international artist that visit the Valley. There are too many activities in the Hunter wine region to list.

Heading up for a wedding? It’s a great place for the whole family. The house and cottage combined will sleep up to 19 people.

The 5 Bedroom homestead is spread over one level with 3 bathrooms (1 ensuite.) The rooms have a combination of King, queen and single bed. Linen? Don’t worry about sheets, towels etc as we have you covered.

Enjoy the comfort of the lounge while socialising by the fire place, catching up on a little television or just taking a little time out.

The large pool with a view is great for everyone to cool in the warmer months and property is a great place for the kids to run around while parents relax with a nice glass of the Hunter’s finest.

Did I mention that you can just walk across the Paddock to Restaurant Botanica and Spa Anise at Spicers Vineyards Retreat?

If you are venturing out to one of the many great Hunter Valley concerts the coach collects you and drop back to drive way (bookings required.)

A wonderful and serene property in the Hunter.

A wonderful and serene property. The kids especially loved the pool and the kangaroos. A beautiful morning and sunset view from the back of the house looking onto the mountain range. The house was clean and comfortable. Rachael & James are both beautiful & friendly hosts. We definitely would love to come back again.

Simply amazing

We were so delighted with our experience staying at Hermitage Hideaway. The house and the property itself is stunning and the location is perfect. The hosts were very accommodating and provided many nice touches to make our stay more comfortable. I couldn’t recommend this accommodation enough and am already looking for an excuse to come back!

Stunning location & lovely house

We had a lovely stay. James & Rachael were consummate hosts and were available for any enquiries we had. The house was the perfect size for 7 adults and 3 children with different spaces both indoors and out for everyone. The location is great, private but still close to shops and obviously several wineries. In the summer you share the pool with the Cottage but this was great for us and we got to meet some new people. The Cottage is about 150 metres away from the Homestead. All in all, it was the break that we needed and we will come again.

Beautiful house, fantastic stay, the photos don’t do it justice!

Stayed for a girls weekend away, and were so impressed with beautiful local wine on arrival, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated bedrooms. The living areas were spacious enough for 11 adults, and we enjoyed afternoon drinks on the front balcony soaking in the views. Easy and friendly communication with the owner, who gave great tips on where to visit. The house is in the perfect location close to wineries, and restaurants. Definitely recommend this stay to others and we will be back again.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful house and location

We stayed in the hermitage hideaway for 2 nights. The house is absolutely lovely ! It was extremely clean and had lots of space ! It’s light and airy as well as homely, There were 10 adults and 4 infants and we had plenty of room. There are beautiful views from the house as well as a bbq area which we used. The house has a lovely big dining room which we were able to enjoy our meals in. We did a wine tour and really couldn’t complain about where the house was located it was nearby to lots of wineries. All communications with Rachael were straight forward and she was very helpful and accommodating with any questions I had. I would certainly recommend this property and we hope to come back and stay again. Thanks Rachael
