Our go to hotel

I have stayed at Don Giovanni many times. It has become my go to hotel in Prague due to the combination of its location, cost and service. My family love the extensive breakfast buet. It has become something we look forward to for the whole year. The location is very attractive from the standpoint of access to public transportation. There is the Zelivskeho tube/metro station right in from of the hotel as is a stop for multiple trams and busses (trams in the front, busses behind the hotel). Also, there is a Lidl supermarket across the street. Despite the transportation options the area is reasonably quiet and peaceful. Franz Kafka’s grave is in the cemetery behind the hotel. The sta is always courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, this year I noticed some signs of aging in the hotel room. Our toilet had multiple cracks and there was mold under the shower/tub handle on the wall. These things are common in hotels, and I understand how diicult it is to avoid mold in bathrooms. Another puzzling thing I noticed this year, was the ridiculous price hike on the hotel.com site (about triple the usual cost). This put me o booking originally and I booked another hotel. As the date approached the price retuned to a more reasonable range and was presented as a discount. I have cancelled the other hotel and booked here. I believe the hotel is under new management now and I am wondering if this pricing strategy has something to do with it.

This is our 3rd time in a year we have stayed at Hotel Don Giovanni and once again it didn't disappoint us . We always get a VIP room with executive lounge access which gives access to rooftop. I felt our room this time seemed quite tired and needing some TLC, lacked some of the luxury touches we have came to love. Saying all that we would highly recommend it to friends and family.

This hotel is great!! We stayed in a junior suite, and had access to the absolutely wonderful Executive Lounge. Location is good, about 5 stops on the metro from the centre. If we had 1 negative, it would be the hot buffet at breakfast was not that hot.

Room was supposed to have king size bed but had two single beds that were moving in the night leaving a gap .Room was supposed to have city view but had cemetery view instead.Room was suppose to be sound proof but can hear everything from next room
