We booked last minute for this apartment due to our dissatisfaction with the hotel we stayed (and left early). Not just U Kapra was cheaper but the standard exceeded our expectations. We stayed for 3 nights at the attic apartment. There are a family of 4. The apartment had exposed wooden beams and lots of character. It was clean and warm (end of Oct 2025). The kitchen was adequately equipped for the odd small meals like fried eggs. There was a coffee machine (get more capsules if staying longer). There is also a rooftop balcony with a large table. Location was really central (about 1 min to Old Town square) and we were surrounded by excellent cafes (we had breakfast in different ones each day) and restaurants. Check-in was easy with key safe codes and door codes. Fantastic stay and would thoroughly recommend.

Ideal location for exploring the Old Town neighborhood. Despite it being a very busy tourist area once you enter the secure apartment building it’s quiet and feels safe. Large bedroom with comfortable bed, plenty of room for a short or long stay. The apartment is in a Pedestrian area only so a bit of walking involved to transit and the stairs up to the second floor unit were steep and narrow so be prepared for a bit of hauling of luggage. Overall a great short stay, would definitely stay again!

Everything is very good except that upper unit has no elevator and the bed is in the attic and stairs too steep, for tiny feet and slippery. When u check in do not ask security, just follow the simple instruction emailed by property otherwise will be confuse and waste of time. I can stay again but not the top floor.

Location - we love the fact we were able to walk to most of the attractions that were on our itinerary. Dining options were closed by too. Literally less than 2 mins from the apartment. Overall, the apartment was beautiful, spacious and location was great.

Perfect location for a short holiday. Everything that you will want to see/visit is within walking distance. Although being in the center of a tourist area, the apartment was surprisingly quiet. Our unit did face the middle and not the street side so maybe that helped with sound. The desk was staffed all times of the day which made it feel a little more secure but they are there to sit at the desk. If you are looking for more chatty 'hotel front desk' staff, this is not that type of place. We did not mind. We went in and out the front of the property with little interaction. We were very happy with our stay and I would definitely recommend it. Having a kitchen and living room space was an added plus when you wanted to stop by during the day for a rest.

Czech this place out!

This place was great. There was plenty of space for our family of 4. The location was great as it was near attractions, food, and shop's. The air conditioning was blowing cold which was nice. The front desk even helped us print off our online order to the castle and held our bags before we were allowed to czech in. Stay here, you wont be disappointed! Thanks for a great couple of day's! P.S. if you're taller, watch your head on arches and beams.

Perfect Prague getaway

Our stay at U Kapra was fantastic! The room/suite was situated right in the heart of Old Town Prague, allowing my son and so to explore the city with ease. While the doors to the building opened directly onto the bustling streets and shops, the room itself was extremely quiet at night. Hotel staff were very communicative throughout, even providing various options for transportation from the airport. This will be our go-to site for any trips to Prague moving forward. Highly recommend!

The location is central to the city landmarks. There are lots of places to dine-in nearby. Our room was located on the 3rd floor and the elevator only goes to 2nd floor. We had to lift heavy luggage up the stairs. Additionally, the room had a dangerous steep staircase to the bedroom loft. It's very inconvenient and scary at night when need to use bathroom downstairs.

Perfect location, in the center of it all. Spacious unit with a second bathroom. Great communication and easy check in. Warning if you are staying in the “attic” apt… the ceiling and beams are really low in some places and we all hit our heads at various times. The doors (esp the master bathroom) are so squeaky that we woke each other up when using the toilet in the night. Otherwise it was wonderful!
