Prague Holidays

Mix with about 1 200 000 inhabitants in this Prague destination.

When you visit a new place, there are some attractions that you simply have to visit. Here, Charles Bridge should be at the top of your list.

Prague has many good family attractions. Head over to have a gander at the LunaPark or AquaPalace. Keep the good times rolling by also stopping at Miniature Museum and the Petrin Funicular Railway.

You and your kids don't need an oxygen tank to see what resides in our oceans. Walk around and have a stickybeak at Sea World and satisfy your need for adventure.

Get up close to some remarkable creatures at Prague's great zoos. Most travellers head straight to the highly recommended the Prague Zoo, but another worthwhile option is the Terarium Praha.

If you're something of a beer expert, you might want to check out the Staropramen Brewery and the Strahov Monastery Brewery.

Are you lucky enough to have a magic touch in the garden? Well, regardless of your record with houseplants, the botanical collections in the parks of Prague are going to be a real treat. Explore the Prague Botanical Gardens and the Kinsky Garden. These are great locations where you will find gardens that are often visited by travellers and locals alike. The Garden on the Ramparts and the Vojan Gardens are also worth bearing in mind if you happen to find yourself passing by.

Legs worn out from all that sightseeing? It's time to take a break in some of this area's lush parks. The Royal Garden and Kampa Park are both excellent spots in which to find a nice shady stretch of grass. Alternate options are Riegrovy Sady and Stromovka Park.

Tourist centres are usually a great support to visitors everywhere. Thankfully, Prague provides two that can be accessed free of charge. Make Prague Information Service or Tourist Information Centre Old Town Hall the number one place you visit as soon as you arrive. Some of the guidance you get there will help you to enjoy every last day of your holiday.

Lake Hostivar is not hard to find. Just strike up a convo with any of the hotel staff and ask about this tranquil outdoor attraction.

Visitors who enjoy a good bushwalk should consider spending an arvo at Kunratice Forest, where Mother Nature won't let you down.

If you love museums, this destination is going to be right up your alley. Boasting a fantastic range of excellent exhibits, this city will keep you busy for hours. The Museum of Communism and the Bertramka are both top places to start. If you have some more brainpower leftover, you should also visit the Czech Museum of Music and the Bedrich Smetana Museum.

Experience the engaging and informative collections at Stefanik Observatory and Prague Planetarium, two great attractions to head to when the weather takes a turn in Prague.

Keen to enrich your life with a touch of colour? Prague has a range of gallery spaces that will get your creative juices going. The Mucha Museum and the Kinsky Palace are two of the most popular choices. Desperate for more? The Lobkowicz Palace and the Schwarzenberg Palace make for a perfect way to round out the day.

Prague has many interesting historical museums that are sure to take you on an adventure through the mists of time. You are guaranteed to reappear from the Czech National Museum and the Jewish Ceremonial Hall with an abundance of new knowledge. The Prague City Museum and the Podskalska Customs Office at Vyton are also worth a visit if you have a few more hours to kill.

This destination has developed over the years, but you will still find a wealth of history to get out and explore. Take a journey through time at the Charles University and the Astronomical Clock. Then end your tour with a visit to either the Lennon Wall or Powder Tower.

Among the most interesting old sites in the area is Novotného lávka. This aged structure can be thouroughly inspected from multiple surrounding vantage points and will leave you marvelling at the quality of its construction.

If you are keen on a little taste of history and you're something of a strategy hotshot, Vysehrad National Cultural Monument could be well worth a visit. In days long gone, it was this defensive structure that kept its residents safe.

If you're interested in the history of the ruling elite, the Prague area's multiple palaces are certain to grab your attention. Queen Anne's Summer Palace and Old Royal Palace are two very popular locations that you and your family should make sure you visit. Still have some free time? Be certain to also go and see Clam-Gallas Palace and Cernin Palace before you fly home.

Prague's defensive castles are some fantastic places in which to learn about the area's medieval history. Chuck on some comfy clothes, pack your camera and head over to experience the mysterious halls of Prague Castle and Karlstejn Castle. If time is on your side, you may also like to check out Vysehrad Castle and Troja Chateau.

This region is highly regarded for its wide range of religious structures. St. Vitus Cathedral and Strahov Monastery are the most loved of these structures, with the Old-New Synagogue and Tyn Church being two other good options.

You can find a variety of other less-visited spots here if you are keen to visit some more modest attractions. The Lucerna Palace and the Bobsleigh Track are both good options. You may also enjoy stopping at the Proudy Sculpture and the Cubist Lamp Post.
