The staffs are exceptional, love their willingness to help. The facility is old and there is no cell reception. The place is quite and located a 40mins driving distance from the Crater Lake. You can also walk around through camping sites nearby. But there isn't much food option.

I would describe this as a rustic cabin with an early 1950ish feel. It needs some repairs and a better mattress but we slept well. The water was hot for showers. There is a full size refrigerator and a small gas stove. There is no television and internet is spotty but was not too big a deal for us. The best part of this stay is Beckie’s Cafe right across the highway. Wonderful homemade hot dishes with large servings and a huge variety of homemade pies.

We had a very nice 1 night stay. Our cabin was comfortable, clean and quiet. Only 2 dinner options nearby, so I recommend ordering food to go from the cafe and eating in your cabin to avoid a long wait. There is also a beautiful little walk to the "Rogue River Gorge" across from the cabins. It was so beautiful, highly recommend.

Cabin pulito ed esenziale, immerso nella natura. Letto comodo. No lavanderia. A 40 minuti dal crater lake.

No cell service or working WiFi = zero access to phone calls, texts, internet. Front desk knows WiFi doesn’t work and encouraged us to travel to the nearest service 11 miles south. Lodge rooms hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in some time. 1 inch thick dust under the bed and very dirty ceiling fan. Shared bathroom means two toilet/shower rooms used by nine lodge rooms - sinks in each room. One set of stairs to the second floor rooms - emergency exits are out the room windows to ladders or metal roofs - then jump from ladder or roof the final 8 feet to the ground.

Rustic, expensive, needs upgrades.

Old, historic building was unique. Shared restrooms need to be checked more often-one toilet was clogged and the other bathroom had a light burned out. Soap & towels were nice quality. Bed was comfortable but the room needed more light over bed. Window shade only went up on one side. One faucet in room's sink was leaky. No wifi.

Absolutely beautiful place! Zero service and WiFi wouldn’t load anything but besides that it was a great stay! We arrived after office was closed and they gave us directions and everything before hand and had all the lights on in our cabin so we could see it.

The desk staff were especially helpful, friendly and professional, both in-person and over the phone. They were up-front about the communication limitations beyond their control, but potential visitors need to know beforehand that there is no cell phone service in this remote area and the available WiFi is spotty and limited. That said, the location is beautiful and historic and close to Crater Lake, but visitors should monitor their gas tanks since the nearest gasoline is nearly a half-hour away in both directions. The restaurant across the street provides good food with friendly servers, and the lodge has a gift shop with snacks and souvenirs. Also, visitors should be advised that the lodge rooms are very small and have no private bathrooms; there are shared bathrooms available, and these are clean, secure, and well-maintained. We enjoyed our stay.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. WE LEFT EARLY AND DID NOT COMPLETE THE STAY. The cabin WAS FILTHY, from the moment we walked in there was dirt and dust covering everything, there was also broken glass on the floor that I almost impaled my foot on. The room was warm but we couldn't use the ceiling fan for fear of sending dust and dirt into the air. The windows barely open to assist. The room advertised online is not what you're getting. The AC kept breaking and was not able to cool the room. There was no vent in the bathroom to let steam exit, We didn't like being lied to about Wi-Fi. There is zero wifi, it's not spotty, it just doesn't work at all. If you can't provide that you shouldn't be allowed to say you have it, because many ppl rely on that for making plans and figuring things out, this had serious ramifications for our trip and spoiled part of it that we had already paid for. There is no wired phone to make up for lack of cell service, no TV, no dresser. Front desk attendant the checked is in was a lady wearing glasses who was rude and unfriendly. Only place to eat is owned by same property and gouges on prices. We had two nights booked, woke up after the first feeling sick (not surprising considering we were sleeping in a dust bucket), and we had to get out, we were forced to book elsewhere last minute which was tremendously expensive but we didn't want to stay and be miserable and end up with sinus infections. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Unsanitary and unsafe.. but beds were good

The beds and the size of this Vacation Rental (cabin# 12) were the best things about this place. It was unsafe and unsanitary. The shower curtain was moldy and slimy, the kitchen floor was peeling, and there were Mouse Droppings in the bottom drawer of the oven! After my granddaughter was crawling around her clothes were filthy. We knew it was “rustic” which I have done before but this was run down and in need of updating to make it sanitary and safe. No stoppers for the tub or the sink, hard to give a baby a bath or shave in the sink. The mouse droppings really had me concerned about Hantavirus or other diseases. The front porch was uneven, caused my daughter to turn her ankle and my son in law to fall. A window lock was missing so we were afraid of leaving anything there when we went exploring. The fan moved across the floor when we turned it on! Really like a comedy of a trip gone wrong. The food available at Beckie’s was very good as was the Ice Cream place. But we brought food knowing we’d have a kitchen. It was adequate but only one towel? A Keurig coffee machine with no extra pods after the first day. We thought it was a regular coffee maker as I was told. A metal bottle opener in the toaster! How did we not get electrocuted as I found it the second day after it had been used the day before! Not worth the price we paid.

Nice beds but the window had no lock
