It was a really nice place. Beautiful views. We had friends all traveling into the city. And it was really annoying to have to pay to have our friends come around. Even if we wanted to quickly grab something from the room they weren’t allowed inside without a notable double digit payment. Kind of insane. We had a little mishap with booking excursions. The price at the hotel and the price at the location were different. So maybe verify before you pay. The map makes it seem like you could walk into the center of city. But it’s actually not that close since this is at the top of a pretty high hill. But a really quick Uber solves that problem. But you’ll have to do it every time. Pretty solid stay all around

Professional courteous staff combined with a spacious and spotless room provided us with a very satisfying experience during our two week stay. The breakfast included was excellent, a nod to our waiter Jesus who brightened our mornings. The location in Conchas Chinas is beautiful with a fabulous view, however a cab ride to town. Well worth it.

A fantastic resort high above the ocean with fabulous views. The breakfast was amazing with perfect mix of Mexican and traditional choices. Pools were not crowded and had very comfortable lounge chairs. Staff were very helpful and courteous. Would rate this as a 5+ hotel. A bit out of the way but very quiet and relaxing. Will definitely come back!

The rooms are nice and spacious. They could use a little more attention to detail when cleaning. The staff was nice but service was on the slow side. The adults only roof top pool is excellent. We all really enjoyed the food as well. Staff members Ivan and Maria were so friendly and attentive. The biggest complaint we have is the bottled water. The only option was $5 bottle Evian water (500 ml) if you choose not to do all-inclusive. Overall, we had a nice stay.

Headline: 5 Star Potential - 3 Star Experience. We booked 15 nights to celebrate Christmas, New Year and our ten year anniversary. Upon arrival we were greeted with 'Welcome Home' - that's where the feeling of really being welcome ended. The room was lovely, although the master suite doesn't get sun loungers as they are shown. Breakfast is chaotic. The staff rush around but don't seem to achieve much. There was an A La Carte menu, but you didn't know what was on it as there's no menu or QR code to view it. It was 5 days in that we realized Bacon was an option because we saw it on someone else's plate. Overall, nothing special and pretty repetitive. Lunch and dinner was average at best. The rooftop restaurant is stunning to sit at but the food didn't live up to the environment. In relation to the rooftop pool, you have to vacate it by 5.30. We complained about this and two security guards appeared to tell us we had to go. On New Years Eve we were all told that we had to leave the rooftop pool for a private event at 2pm. This was handled incredibly poorly. The staff generally were OK and polite when you engaged with them, but they weren't proactive at all - nothing surprised or delighted us about the service. It felt like we were in the way and we felt that the experience was cheap - revenue over our experience. Also, don't go to the communal bathrooms without a torch because the light timer goes off after a minute and you are plunged into darkness.

Hotel Staff is awesome, place is nice and secure! Def off the beat and path so you need to either Uber or have a rental (NOT walking distance to the beach haha as its on a massive hill) Place was great overall ... be careful the more basic suite even though they say ocean view are only floors 1-3 and mostly have a pool view ... pay the extra for the next level up and the 9 floor views are amazing.

The stuff is amazing. Hotel is beautiful. But location isn’t the best. Every time we needed to leave the hotel we needed to take a taxi which was 6 dollars (to get to town) hotel is located at the top of the mountain and it takes at least 20 minutes to get to the beach walking down. It’s very inconvenient. I wish I looked it up before I booked it. Also it’s not very kid friendly. If you’re traveling with kids I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The pool at the top floor is absolutely stunning but kids are not allowed to use it which obviously makes it very upsetting for the whole family. The pools at the bottom floor are kid friendly BUT kids are not allowed to go in the jacuzzi. Which is very inconvenient once again. The water in the pool is chilly and when kids get cold obviously they run to jacuzzi. The stuff seemed to be easy going about it and sometimes I’ve seen 2-3 families with kids at jacuzzi but stuff would come back and try to kick kids out of the jacuzzi. Water is perfect in jacuzzi so there is zero worries about “overheating” etc. Overall gorgeous hotel but we wouldnt stay here again. We would find the hotel with walkable location. But it’s our faults we didn’t do a good research before we booked

All in all, a good place to stay if you're looking to get away from the busier, noisier and more crowded areas of the city. Staff were helpful and friendly and the view was lovely. The room was clean, spacious and beautiful. Dining and pool areas were also pleasant. However, we choose this place, in part, to have a quiet place to stay. As such, the "soundproof" description played an important role in our selection of Grand Miramar. Although the room was described as "soundproof" (on the Expedia listing) that was not the case at all. Even with all entrances closed, we regularly heard the very loud sounds (from outside our room) of cleaning carts, slamming doors (room entrance, bathroom, closet cupboard) crying and screaming children, hallway conversations, flushing toilets and running taps. At times, these where louder than the apartment sounds from which we sought escape while on vacation, and loud enough to wake us from sleep or make it difficult to fall asleep some nights. Since restful quiet was important to us (particularly when trying to sleep), this made the experience less pleasant than expected.
