The setting is beautiful! Every room has a view. The staff was very responsive when we had an issue with our room. The food choices were good, though it was very hard to accommodate our large family group at meals. Especially when the young children were with us. The reservation system for dinners was not always easy.

This is a beautiful property. The pools are amazing, the sound of the ocean is fantastic. The service was a bit lacking. It felt like there was little urgency to assist or to solve challenges from guests. We showed up for our dinner reservation at the wrong time (our error). Instead of helping us figure it out, they just said “sorry we can’t seat you.” I’d expect a resort like this to take care of their guests more proactively, helping them find a reasonable alternative option; even in instances where it is the guest who made an error.

This is a well maintained resort with friendly staff and good options for food. A quick Uber ride from downtown. Great views and direct beach access.

Many different things.roaches in the room, room service to deliver few sugars taking close to an hour in 3 different days and according to the person in charge it is due to not having enough people, low quality food in restaurants except the buffet, waiting in Italian restaurant for 45 minutes without even asking what we want and threatening to expel us and much more.

Incredibly small and the food wasn’t that great. Hyatt zivas in other locations like Cancun are way better. The beach is so small, you can walk it in 5 minutes. Half the employees do not use gloves while handing the food, incredibly gross.

As a young family we were disappointed with our experience at Ziva. We stayed two nights and both days there were weddings approx 50 feet from our room. I can’t even describe the noise. It felt like we were at the wedding when we were trying to put our toddler to bed. The room was pulsing due to the dj music then to top it off, fireworks. My daughter was crying and we were very frustrated. It feels like they prioritize weddings over regular guests. Also while the weddings are being set up and going on we were not able to use the one heated pool in the shade and the hot tub. This does not seem fair for paying guests of the resort! We will not be returning or recommending this resort for young families. The resort did move us after my husband complained twice but it was too little too late.

My family and I stayed at the Hyatt Ziva for a couple of days before heading to our timeshare property in Nuevo Vallarta. When we arrived at our timeshare, we found ourselves reminiscing about our wonderful stay at the Hyatt. The view from our room was stunning, and we loved how close the beach was. We could hear the waves crashing and enjoyed watching them roll in. We were also lucky enough to see whales when we first arrived, which was an absolute treat! The food at the hotel was fantastic, the staff was incredibly friendly, and our room was spotless. We will definitely be staying at this property again. Next time, we’ll stay longer and make sure to try the spa.
