The property felt very safe. The activities planned were fun, the pools and ocean were great, the bars and staff were on point, and the overall vibe of the property was relaxing. We especially enjoyed the Mexican night and the Beach party night. While the buffet held many many options and homemade delicious food, the promise of obtaining reservations at one of three restaurants for 1/2 the amount of days you stayed there was non existent. We stayed for 5 nights and only obtained one reservation at 830 and was only given one choice. We met someone who was there for 10 days and she only received 2. Plus it took 2 hours to reserve. I think that for what the resort was there should have been accessibility to more upscale options. Overall though-I would stay again.

The property was well decorated and laid out in a good way only complaint is the location of the buffet should have been more centrally located. The guest service manager did her best to take care of our complaints. The food on some themed nights lacked acceptance in the buffet. We did enjoy the three specialty restaurants and two nights at the buffet for Asian night and fisherman’s night were very good. Breakfast at the buffet was very good too except for the lack of strawberries for the crepes or the mixed fruit for the crepes too.

Great property and fantastic staff and service. The improvement can be on the food. The booking of dining is a little confusing and it would be nice if there was a chips and guacamole option opposed to just salsa. I get that the resort is trying to cut costs but just charge a little more. Overall a great property and great stay.

Our stay at the Marival was lovely. I traveled with my husband and our daughter who is a teen with some disabilities. My only complaint would be that the photos are deceiving of the slides at the kids pool..it turns out my daughter was too big to be allowed to use them which made for some stressful transitions as it was something she was looking forward to kost and was unable to enjoy it. Otherwise everything else was great!

Fabulous time. Pros outweigh cons for sure. We got a great deal on the package, bed was comfortable (I'm not sure what the people calling it plywood sleep on at home lol), room was clean, staff were great. Check in was easy, you just have to give a hard no when they say they'll get their concierge for you. Room key please did the trick. If you want the fridge restocked, you just call. You can say how many you want. My hubby waited 2 minutes the first time to get 6 beer. Good tip to start works great. Restaurant reserving system just sucks. No way around it, but we got 2 decent rezzies and there was consistently good food at the buffet, so no big deal. Pools are fabulous. Just like most resorts, if you want a good spot, you have to put in the effort. You can't place your stuff on chairs w/out staying until 8 am. But I didn't mind sitting there for 30 min reading my book in the morning, so no big deal. Activities are great. The kid's club is fabulous. Our son (age 6) loved it. You can't have them stay over meals like you can at Dreams PV, but it worked out and he got to do SO MUCH with them while we were there. Don't bother with reservations on Tues for the Mexican dinner and Wed for the beach party. Bartenders were fantastic. Tip well to start. They don't open until 11 which was a bummer, but you can have mimosas with breakfast and beer from the fridge, so, it was fine. Water equip and bikes were awesome. Overall, fantastic family trip.

The property is nice. the pools are great. They have decent drinks with respectable options for liquor. You will have a good time. Would I recommend staying here? No. Food mostly ranges from eh to meh. Breakfast was probably the best as they had an omelet station and really good bacon (though it frequently ran out). I would not stay here again. We found ourselves taking cabs most evenings to go elsewhere for food. I would either recommend staying at a better AI such as Hard Rock (great food, lots of fun, a bit overpriced) or Iberostar (good place, great service, very good food, but far away from anything) or somewhere closer to other food options. I love PV and Riviera Nayarit and will keep coming back, just not to a Marival.

No daily stock of mini bar fridge in room, you have to call room service after 1pm to gwy 2 x 200ml baby cans of beer. Anything beyond that rhwy charge. Room service is not free or included. I could go on and on, this is an alright resort but dont expect 4-5 star services

This resort was beautiful, we were skeptical when we read other reviews but we were very happy with everything, the staff was awesome and very willing to help in every way they could. The Grand room we had was very clean and had a very nice view of the courtyard. Yes this resort is kid friendly however this did not affect how our trip went at all. The food was quite good despite the reviews being not great. We very much enjoyed the Las Palomas and Amalfi specialty restaurants for dinner. The Casa Bella buffet had a very good assortment for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well. If we were craving a snack on the beach, La Bamba was the place to go, great Hamburgers and hot dogs with great side choices. The only thing foodwise that did not live up to our expectations was the Piazzetta dei Forni restaurant. The crust tasted cheaper and they put cut up hotdogs on some of them. Just for people looking at all of the different restaurants, if you book the all inclusive package, you do not have access to Mai Tai and Capriccio as they are for owners/VIP members. Everywhere else is free to eat at. Note to book at one of the specialty restaurants you need to wake up early and book them. All of the bars and swim up bars were amazing and had a different drinks of the day every day. The bartenders were very friendly and willing to make anything requested. Our trip was great and we have next to no complaints about Marival Emotions, would recommend to anybody with or without kids.

We had such a fantastic family vacation here! Great for families with little kids. Kids club was awesome, park to play on, the pools were fantastic, beach was perfect, nice and shallow for the kids, we rode bikes to town one day. Shows and events going on everyday. Beach party and pool party were our favourites. My daughter was so excited to see Elsa at a show in the evening. Unfortunately there wasn’t much availability for the restaurants so we were able to eat at those but the buffets had different options everyday so we never got bored of the food. Lots of options for the kids!
