Eco property

Had to make a last minute booking for a hotel and came across Nemi. Without thoroughly researching this property, we did not realize exactly what we were booking. Overall it would be fine for most people, but being an Eco property, there were some differences in the amenities that we were not used to and we ended up changing our reservation to an apartment via AirBnB that was more of our style. The owner, Victor, was very nice and understanding of our situation and helped make the change very smooth. He also owns a local massage company called “Blue Massage” and we went for a massage there later and it was very good!

Overall, the villas were good, but not great - the pictures made it look more luxurious than it is. It’s really little things that could be fixed that would improve it, like: nicer linens, actual lighting, hot water in the shower, etc.

The property grounds are lovely. Well taken care of by Gabriel and Ramona. The rooms are set up on solar as the site says that being said there is minimal lighting in there at night. Beds and bedding are very comfortable. If your looking to disconnect from everything then this would the property for you. There are no radios,TV’s or phones and spotty WiFi. Victor is a positive for this property. I believe he has the ideas to take it to the next level. The property would be the place for a family party or wedding booking all the rooms. Because apparently that’s the only way meal service is available there. The property is set in the mountain side so there are inclines and many steps. Was not a problem for us but something to consider. The only negative was check in. Make sure Victor knows what time you will be arriving. Because he is the only staff member that speaks English. A note to Chris and Alan. A little better signage at the front of the property would be helpful to find you.

Amazing Views Less Amenities

The view was amazing, the location was a short walk to downtown, and the bed was super comfortable. It sort of feels like a unique elevated camp experience. However we didn't have hot water a majority of the time. We had to go into another pod to use the shower, which wouldn't have been possible had the place been fully booked. We love that the location is eco-friendly, but cold showers aren't fun! Also the wifi essentially doesn't work. Victor warned us it was poor while checking in, but it was really unusable. For people traveling outside their data plan this was pretty frustrating! It made it hard to find directions or look up restaurants etc.

This place is a wonderful quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of Puerto Vallata. It is beautiful; the gardens are equisite and it is very clean. You just walk 5 minutes and you are in town. I can't recommend this place too much. I travelled alone and it was perfect for my needs.

We could not believe we got this place last minute, and for a great price. We were told that they are new to single room rentals and rent it mostly as a complete villa. Great location, funtastic pool, and fabulous jungle gardens. The room was not spacious as it’s a cargo container eco place, with a hammock and outside private area but was perfect for us. And also each room had a private dipping pool. Great! Hope we can get back soon for a week! 5 star all the way, esp for this price!

We loved this place. Great design with beautiful grounds. The staff was completely accommodating and spent a lot of time with me on all the best restaurants just blocks away. The pool was amazing and felt like swimming in a nice pond - no chlorine. Definitely return! Highly recommend!

One of the best places I've stay in my life. It's overlooking the ocean and in the middle of beautiful landscapes. The rooms are so beautiful with personal spring water pools. The decor and staff are excellent. I couldn't stop taking videos and pictures of the villa. 5 star location and staff!!
