The garage was full, but the hotel clerk was helpful to find another garage but it was very far away.. The desk was empty most times, but we managed. Love the area and our room was fine! thank you!

Great location. Check in easy. Room is bare bones and very very small. Bed not comfortable. Shower door barely hanging on by a thread. Can hear plumbing issues all night long. Walls extremely thin. No parking included.

The room was inconveniently small, I had to walk sideways to get to the bathroom. I banged my elbow against a corner. The mattress was of very bad quality and uneven, which took a toll on my back, and the bed was squeaky. The electric cords were overextended which I didn’t think was safe as a part was hanging loose. Then there was the noise as there was no sound proofing and I would guess thin walls. Guests were noisy even in the evening and night, one was yelling really loud. The view from my window was a sad display of junk casually dispersed on the balcony or terrasse adjacent to the room. No decaf option available. I would have appreciated more helpfulness from the hostess. I kept calling the provided number to talk to someone as I had an appointment but no answer. It was a very disappointing stay.

Location, location, location

The property was OK: clean, serviceable. The check in which was listed as 3pm actually happened at 5:30. All this was mitigated by the superb location, just around the corner from the Frontenac.

A quaint boutique hotel centrally located in Old Quebec City. The staff was very friendly and quite helpful. Arrived early, and they kindly stored our luggage. Note: there is no elevator, so bags may need to be carried up a couple of flights of stairs. This was not an issue for us, but could be for some. Both English and French spoken. We very much enjoyed our stay.

This is a very old and historic hotel in a perfect location, just behind Chateau Frontenac. Easy walking distance to most everything. No elevators. A small lounge with a microwave, coffee machine and very small ice maker. It makes about 3 cups of ice. But there is a mini-fridge and coffee maker in every room. Allison was the lovely young woman at the desk. She was so helpful, lending me the office corkscrew for a bottle of wine, and ordering our next-day taxi back to the airport. This hotel does not have 24/7 desk staff. Guests are given a code number to enter the building after staff has gone for the day. Hotel Jardin du Gouverneur is old and funky; its best quality is location. It does have comfy beds and bedding, and it was clean. Our room was on the second floor, and the only room with a patio. It overlooked the garden park, and the St Lawrence River. It was lovely. I would stay there again, if I ever get back to Quebec City.
