Reedsport is a small fishing town that supports Winchester Bay recreational area. It is small & older but still has charm. Knowing that, our expectations were not high. We just needed a place to stay for two nights so we could visit friends that were staying in an RV resort on Winchester Bay. We chose Economy Inn as it was the closest and most reasonably priced stay close to Winchester Bay. The Inn is old but clean and parking is in front of your room. It’s 2 stories but we didn’t have any neighbors so we didn’t hear anyone. The flooring was vinyl so no creepy carpeting. It had a coffee maker, refrigerator and small microwave. In the bathroom, there were enough towels for a 2 night stay, blow dryer and liquid body soap provided. Although we prefer ground level in order to avoid stairs, we requested a king bed and they are only upstairs and we could not change rooms. All the units downstairs are 2 double or queen beds. If I have any negatives it would be the road noise from the highway in front of the hotel. But the price was right, a Safeway grocery store & a gas station are all sharing the same parking lot which made those amenities convenient.
