Ok, but dated and other disappointments

Good location but the property is dated. This was our second stay. No ventilation in the bathroom makes for a hot and humid situation in the room after showers. My daughter and I were profiled and questioned as individuals they assumed were not staying at the property. It could only have been our appearance. I have long hair and she was dressed in her cosplay outfit for beach photos. That was a huge disappointment and we will never return. Too many other nice options.

We had a great time and a great stay. The Henlopen has treated us well. Wish the room was stocked with the amt of towels the room sleeps. Otherwise, it was great.

Great location with boardwalk access. Walls are very thin and beds are uncomfortable. Nice to have a parking garage but the garage is tiny with hard to get into spots. For the price, it's a good stay for one night but wouldn't stay for anything longer.

Great Views with beach access

Overall it was a good hotel that has direct access to the beach and covered parking. The room was nice as well and the bed was comfortable. I had a room with an ocean view so I loved having breakfast/coffee on the balcony in the morning. But I would recommend bringing your own pillows. That being said, cleaning of the bathroom was meh. The mirrors had streaks all over them and there was hair on the towels so that was gross. The room felt warm even with the ac on full blast. It would be better if they had a ceiling fan. The hotel also only has complementary coffee but limited milk options. It’s about a 10 minute walk along the boardwalk to restaurants and coffee shop. Given that they don’t have a restaurant or dining options, the hotel should curate restaurants and coffee shops in the area to check out. Ultimately I’d stay again in a pinch.

The Henlopen was and always has been a great spot for us while on Rehobeth beach. You can’t get more convenient than this location! It is right on the boardwalk but far enough away from the hustle and bustle, so you have the best of both worlds. The rooms are spacious. Parking is a little tight for the hotel side… wis they had more parking options. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean. The ice machines aren’t very sanitary- prob my biggest complaint. And it wouldn’t normally matter but when you’re at the beach everyday, you want to keep your drinks cold. That ice is not clean enough to put into a glass, only a cooler. Overall we love it and will continue to go back!

This hotel was right on the boardwalk and steps away from the beach! Prime location! Staff was kind, happy and personable. Check in was at 4 but my room was ready at noon when i arrived. The room was clean, beds were comfortable but the bathroom is tiny. That was the only negative thing about this property.
