The older gentleman with a white beard that checked us in wasn't personable at all. Other than the check in, everything else was great. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Staff was hospitable upon arrival, Room was updated and clean. Also...Hotel offered Semi Big Truck with Trailer Parking which was important to us because we were OTR working. Truck parking accommodated several Trucks & only approximately 300 feet from main entrance to Hotel/Casino. Also security patrolling grounds.

The room was comfortable but the problem was the service. We came back to my room finding that wasn't clean, no towels and we asked reception twice for our room to be serviced but it didn't happen. Other than that it was great.

We enjoyed our overnight at Boomtown as part of a larger road trip over Thanksgiving week. I've passed Boomtown dozens of times in my life driving on interstate 80, and was always curious and intrigued as it has a lot of exterior character and just looks like a fun place from the freeway. We appreciated that the resort was pet-friendly. and dinner at Mel's was a fun experience with the cool retro vibe and 50's nostalgia. The room was spacious and clean.
