The room “upgrade” we received was a king bed to a queen. At midnight we finally realized that the heater was not working and the fire alarm went off. They said it would take a least an hour for a technician so we asked for extra blankets instead. Then we had to call the front desk to confirm we did not have to evacuate because all that was said over speaker was that the situation was being investigated. Also the door threshold was broken, had a big gap.

We recently stayed at the Grand Sierra Resort and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We checked in at 7 p.m. and upon entering our non-smoking room, we were immediately greeted by a strong smoke odor. We went straight to the front desk and requested a different room. However, both the front desk agent and the manager informed us that they were fully booked and could not offer us another room. We were skeptical, as we had specifically asked about upgrading to a different room for a fee at check-in, which would suggest there were available rooms. Instead, they offered to run an ozone machine to remove the smoke odor, which we reluctantly accepted. When we returned to our room at 11 p.m., we found a sign on the door saying, "Ozone running... Do not enter." At that point, we were both extremely tired and frustrated, as we had paid for the room but were unable to use it. We went back to the front desk to express our frustration, only to be told to wait a little longer and that there was nothing else they could do. This experience was incredibly disappointing, and due to the poor service and lack of resolution, we will never stay at the Grand Sierra Resort again.

I always stay at the GSR when I go to shows. I like the selection of restaurants, and other options like shops etc and the service . What I did not like as a 75 yr old person is the fact that the safe is on the floor of the closet! Really? Towel service wasn't complete and when I was walking to get ice a housekeeping person told me I had to go to 16th floor for ice when I knew for a fact there was a working one on my floor.
