We had a terrible experience with this VRBO host. After arriving in a foreign country with our family at 1AM, we found ourselves stranded when we couldn’t access the property. When we called for help, the host hung up on us, ignored our follow-up calls, and then canceled our reservation altogether. This left us in an extremely stressful and unsafe situation in the middle of the night. Completely unacceptable behavior!!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Just like the other review. We had booked in February (well in advance of August). A couple days before the trip a message came and everything seemed ok. I replied and said yes we'd like an early check in. No response for days. I responded again the morning we arrived, nothing. I responded an hour before check in, nothing. We went to the property. The code for the lockbox worked but no key. No response to VRBO messages, texts, or phone calls/voice mails. Then I receive an automated message that cancels the hosting due to age restrictions (there are no age restrictions and we are adults). So we had a choice to stay in our car, a hostel at double the price or a hotel at 8x the price. So do yourself a favour and do not take a chance with someone that will leave you literally stranded in the most expensive place.

Never got in REFUND AND APOLOGY WANTED

We were guided to a lock box for the unit. It was empty - NO KEY. Numerous attempts were made to contact Mr. Aðalsteinn via multiple emails, texts and phone numbers. NO ANSWER TI ANYTHING.HAD TO OBTAIN ALTERNATE ACCOMMODATIONS. LATE IN THE EVENING. IN HIGH SEASON. AFTER A 12 HOUR FLIGHT. WITH A 7 YEARS OLD LITTLE GIRL.YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.
