We arrived early and the gentleman at the desk checked with housekeeping for an available room. It overlooked the marina and while small was well kept and the balcony was an added surprise. The restaurant and lobby offered a comfortable retreat.

Amazing location! Parking is offsite but we never had an issue finding a spot within a few footsteps from the door. Make sure to have a few cocktails at the restaurant and take a walk to Seabaron next door!

Nice rooms, interesting location by working harbor, tons of shopping and food within easy walking distances. Cons are the parking is very challenging, breakfast is very expensive, elevator is slow, prices for everything in Iceland are very expensive. Would stay again.

Terrific Location!

Perfect location. I was able to walk to shops nearby and the church. My room was small by American standards but very well designed and laid out. The Lopi blanket was a nice touch. I wish they sold them at the hotel as one would have come home with me. I read a comment before I arrived that said to ask for the Marina side if you have a balcony room so thank you to that person. My only note is parking is not available. I ended up parking on a side street or the whale watching lot. It was not a big deal and it was free. I had no issues and as a solo traveler felt perfectly safe at night. When I return to Iceland I will stay here again. It was awesome.

The Staff are polite and helpful. The building is charming and offers a nice bar environment. I was surprised at how small the room is for the price. But it may just be the prevailing rate given how expensive Iceland is overall.

The property was a great location. 5 minute walk to Harpa. Downtown shopping, dining and bars. Bus stop 15 2minute walk for activity pickup and drop off for bus tours. Close to town. We stayed for nine nights. Added daily breakfast buffet. Well worth it. Juices, Coffees. Tons of food choices. Great friendly helpful staff. Would highly recommend.

The Hotel Marina is located in a working harbor but still was quieter than the hotel we said in that was a bit more in the heart of town. Staff was reliably friendly and helpful. And the room was clean and spacious. We loved it!
