Always enjoy staying here. Owners are present and helpful. Met new people and it is quiet but yet close to shops - within walking distance. Close to BSI Terminal - arriving from Keflavík airport it is easy 15 min walk to Igdlo Guesthouse.

The accomodations here were good. No better, no worse. The location is a 15 min walk to the action in town. The room was clean but pretty rundown. The fitted sheets on the bed were rioped around the elastic and there were some pretty sketchy outlets throughout. It worked for a quick place to crash but I would not go back for anything more than that.

No TVs work

The bed was comfortable and the light in this room good enough to read by. Breakfast was basic. Coffee and tea were good. Fortunately, I had an extra bed to put things on; otherwise, where to put my belongings would have been a challenge. I had to move a small stand so that my phone had a place to sit while being charged at the lone available outlet. No TVs worked. The guesthouse is conveniently located near the airport bus terminal.

My husband and I enjoyed our one-night stay in a unit with a private bathroom and kitchenette. The kitchen area wasn't very well stocked, and the camping stove wasn't the best to use, but it got the job done for a one-night stay. It's a little bit of a walk from the main area with much of the dining, and a short drive to a Bonus grocery store. All in all, it was a decent stay for Iceland.

The sheets were stained. Bath towels were what I use as rags at home. All dishes in shared kitchen chipped, cracked and/or finish gone. Smoke detector battery low and peeped constantly. Walking distance to centre of the city

Lacks light

Check-in was easy enough although I saw that I had a different--and preferred--room assignment. (A second email to me wouldn't open until I arrived.) Map Quest was very wrong on distance from Harpa Concert Hall. The bed was very comfortable. There wasn't enough light to read by, so I went to sleep after the outside light dimmed. There were no directions on how to "clean the machine" after only one-third of a cup of coffee brewed, and I couldn't get more.

Extremely quiet, some road noise evident in the background but mundane in my opinion. Quiet neighborhood, great location. 10 minutes from BSI and shops. All kitchen amenities however the shower took some expert navigation. Got easier as I figured out how to make the hot water last without being too cold or hot. All part of the Icelandic experience!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in early Sept, 2025. The host was a sweet teddy bear, the room (economy twin with private bath) was comfortable and clean with a nice kitchen outside the room. We didn't use the kitchen, but it looked fully stocked. It's very near the bus station (17 min walk), with a stop across the street, including HOHO. The only thing I wished was to have restaurants near by. There is a wonderful coffee shop (Brikk) an 8 min walk, but that's it. I'll definitely be staying here again!

Great location !!

I really enjoyed my stay, didn’t like that I had to pay 5 euro for breakfast which was bread and jam or butter. Not eggs , fruits or sausage. Not worth it! But the place was cozy, but it was full and I didn’t have any place to sit in the dining area. Even after people finished eating they just sat there and talked. The staff was really nice and friendly. Location was great!! Very close to the bus terminal and the wharf. 45 mins from the airport.
