Cozy stay in cool area!

We stayed in the embassy building, and it was very lovely. Very quiet with good blackout curtains. The provided breakfast was a lovely treat!

Had a great stay but some issues with communication mean only 4 stars instead of 5. Starting with the good: Phenomenal location just steps from shoooing restaurants and major city sites. Once we were settled into the room, life was easy. Also, our room appeared recently renovated and had a full kitchen which helps save money vs eating at Reykjavík’s expensive restaurants. We also enjoyed having access to an outdoor balcony. I recommend the superior studio as it has a spacious main room with eat-in kitchen, pullout couch and tv, plus separate master bedroom with its own tv. Great for a family. Service was great once we arrived. I highly recommend the breakfast delivered daily as it includes fresh fruit and outstanding fresh baked bread (plus yogurt, boiled eggs and cheese/cold cuts). We found it so convenient to have breakfast and then snacked on the leftovers as we toured. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the parking. There is construction on the street housing the reception building and nobody told us so it was not possible to pull up front to drop luggage. Could have planned ahead had we known this. Street parking in Zone 2 puts you about 5 minute walk which is fine but was annoying to arrive to a blocked street. Also, construction next door made a lot of noise and we were not told of this in advance. We were also awakened to a false fire alarm on our last day (which might not be the hotel fault but had to mention).

We loved our stay here. We had a junior suite which offered plenty of room, the kitchenette was very well stocked and the room itself was clean and comfortable. We ordered the breakfast several days and it was delicious! So much food we ended up using some for lunch and dinner another day! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect! Close to a couple of bus stops and all the shops and restaurants you could want. We will definitely be staying here again in the future!

My family and I loved the location of the property. But we absolutely hated that there’s no parking for the complex. Like I’d be willing to pay an extra fee for parking. Seven family members with all that luggage kinda made it hard. But I’d still go back.

The room itself was terrific and in a convenient location for getting about the city. However, it should be noted that the street in front of the lobby and check-in building is completely destroyed for repair. This means your drop off or check-in requires you to push your luggage up hill on the opposite side of the street (as the side they are on has several patches of gravel — luggage won’t roll through it) to the next block then back down again. It’s a bit off work. The. On check-in, when we asked for luggage assistance we were told they have no one. Overall a good stay, just kind of inconvenient if you have a lot of heavy bags.

Absolutely loved the accommodation and helpful staff. Mickael went above and beyond helping us find an ATV tour - so very appreciated. Rooms were sparkling clean, modern and the rain shower was lovely. There is currently (June 2025) construction going on in the street outside the main hotel house but it wasn’t going on during wind down/sleep time. We did pay extra through Expedia for breakfast but when we got there they said it wasn’t included so that was very frustrating. Overall though, I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is in a great location in Reykjavik too, walking distance to the church, rainbow street, good food options and tour bus stop 6 was a 7-10 minute walk . Kitchenette is fully stocked and they even provided OJ and milk in the fridge.

The location of the property to the downtown area was very good. The parking at the property is nonexistent! There is no property parking at all. You must try to find a place to park anywhere you can on the street with different parking zones/prices and with as much construction going on, good luck. The studio apartment was clean and met our needs. The only real problem was the shower floor in the bathroom does not have a raised edge so the majority of the floor also gets wet.

Awesome location & walkable to central Reykjavik shopping & dining, friendly staff (who even gave us an upgraded room - thanks!), the breakfast with warm sourdough bread was great & plenty of food to even pack lunches. We used this as our main base & took day trips & it worked perfectly. Room was modern & spotlessly clean. Beds were super comfy. They are doing construction by the main reception/hotel which was noisy. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone & we had a wonderful stay!

Absolutely loved the location and our room! Fantastic amenities and good breakfast, friendly staff, and a little bed set up for baby! Despite the roadwork and trek to the hotel, we would definitely stay here again!

Challenging access due to city streets and construction. Parking in street fairly close. In room breakfast was good quality and sourdough bread delicious. Pull out sofa bed was not flat and not as comfortable as main bed.

We loved our week-long stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it, especially for families or anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great service in downtown Reykjavík. The room was spacious and well laid out, with comfortable beds that made it easy to relax after long days of exploring. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed, and a thoughtful touch was the complimentary milk, orange juice, coffee, and tea—all replenished each time the room was serviced. The room was also spotlessly clean, with a large tub and separate shower,ideal for families. There are stairs to access some rooms, so that’s something to be aware of if mobility is a concern. Definitely park in P3. It’s about a 3-minute walk away, but it’s by far the most affordable option in the area. Download the EasyPark app before you arrive—it makes things super easy. Parking is free overnight on weekends, and daytime rates were cheap. The location couldn’t be better—you’re within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, and local attractions. We especially recommend heading down to the Old Harbour for some food. Old Harbour House—affordable, super friendly staff, and delicious food. A couple of small things to note: since we visited in May, the room stayed a bit light at night—common in Iceland during this season. Also, weekend nights can get noisy, but that’s pretty typical for anywhere in central Reykjavík. Overall, this hotel delivered on every front: space, comfort, cleanliness & location!
