I ran out of toothpaste and in the room there was a sign saying if you needed complimentary toothpaste go to the front desk. The person at the front desk charged me 6.50 for the world’s smallest tube. Basically one use. Even though I showed her the sign she demanded payment. I don’t mind paying for it but the conflicting messages is insane. Will never go back

When I went to check in, I was told I needed $200 cash deposit to check in, they would not accept a credit card as deposit because I lived within 25 miles from the hotel. I had to get my 74 year old parents to drive 20 miles in 24 degree temp. with an ice storm on the way to bring the $200. If this is their policy why isn't it stated on their site. My Mom was told she could wait and talk to the manager who would be there in about 30 minutes to see if she would take her credit card, but they needed to get home before the storm set in. This should be noted on their site so people would be prepared ahead of check in. If I had not been able to have the cash I guess I would have lost the room and money that was charged to credit card. Very upset with this policy! The deposit had nothing to do with the price of the room, it was just their rule due to the fact that I lived within a 25 mile radius of the hotel. after the deposit was made they also took my credit card saying they would hold it for incidentals.

The check in was a disaster. Expedia did not send the correct "virtual card" to the hotel causing an over hour delay in checking in after driving 10 hours from FL. Hotel itself was nice and the surrounding area seemed to be up and coming. Expedia needs to get some on shore US based representatives who are able to understand and respond to urgent billing inquires by the customer and the hotel. Otherwise a good stay.

The hotel is old. Had a musty stale smell in the room. We traveled with dogs, they only have dog rooms on the first floor and the odor was pretty bad from previous dogs. Very loud with people walking and slamming doors, our dogs would not rest. We stayed one night traveling up north. Will not stay again.

We did not get room service. When I told the staff at the front desk that our room was not cleaned she blamed me. ( we were at a soccer tournament all day) and when she asked where I could leave the trash and if i could get clean towels, she told me the trash would smell and I had to come back later to obtain clean towels. Additionally I could not get into the laundry room. I had to ask the staff at the front desk 4 times - to help me get in, each time the key was reprogrammed it still did not work. I gave up after that. Needless to say my son did not have a clean uniform. This was incredibly disappointing and frustrating.
