We are so appreciative of the staff at Walking Eagle Inn and Lodge. Check in and check out were friendly, easy and quick. We experienced 2 setbacks on our trip (not hotel related), and Walking Eagle Inn and Lodge were so helpful and accomodating - that means a lot when we were dealing with truck problems and a health issue. The room was spacious and clean; beds comfortable; and we were able to have a table brought to the room (spacious room) so that we could play cards. The only drawback was the pillows which were pretty hard. As part of our reservation, we had a great breakfast of eggs and bacon each morning included with our room. I can't recommend the outside yard enough as it provided a place to sit outside and relax and take our dog outside for some exercise and breaks. They have one section where dogs are not allowed and the section we stayed in, which allowed them. The hallways were so quiet your would never have known that there was a family pet around. Thank you to the Walking Eagle Inn and Lodge for making our stay so positive and relaxed.

Clean, quiet room, firm bed. Nearby hole-in-the-wall Chinese was surprisingly good and rode a neat bike trail in town. Had a great night’s sleep and cooked-to-order breakfast. What’s not to like?
